Hi brother Jeshuran,
It is not necessary to have a smaller Earth, but there was, perhaps, a much denser atmosphere, which has been postulated, for the larger dragonflies of the Carboniferous to fly in.

Hope you don't mind me chiming in again Brother Derek,
I think what you are asking is, are universal forces all tied in together and affecting the earth? For instance, could a change in electromagnetic forces governing the earth have initiated the flood? Well what if you saw with your own eyes, proof that the earth, and the other planets in our "solar system" (tic) were at one time as much as 60 percent smaller, thus obliterating the theory of "Pangea"? This would explain many many things that still have scientists scratching their heads, like giant dragonflies or dinos who obviously could not have survived without far less gravity...
It's something that the entire scientific community needs to deal with, but the hierarchy wants no part of, because it's time for a whole new idea about how this universe got here...

Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun....
