You must love your fellow as yourself.--Lev. 19:18 :rose: :rose:

This scripture sounds rather easy but it really isn't. For some the hard part has been to find love for themselves. What I love and value the most in this beautiful scripture is the balance it requires to do this. It also requires a measure of self-worth to understand how to love Yourself equally with others. I choose this following scripture to show how we are all equal. The only really important one is our Lord. :rose:

''You have begun to live the new life, in which you
are being made new and are becoming like the One :rose:
who made you. This new life brings you the true knowledge
of God. In the new life there is no difference between Greeks
and Jews....or those who are foreigners or Scythians.
There is no difference between slaves and free people. :rose:
But Christ is in all believers, and Christ
is all that is important.'' Colossians 3:10,11 :rose: :rose: :rose:

Part of loving others as we love ourselves would be in assisting those who need assistance--as we ourselves would want to be assisted....

''This is how we know what real love is: Jesus gave
his life for us. So we should give our lives for our brothers
and sisters. Suppose someone has enough to live and sees
a brother or sister in need, but does not help. Then God's
love is not living in that person. My children,
we should love people not only with words and talk,
but by our actions and true caring.'' 1 John 3: 16-18 ...... :rose: :rose: :rose: (it can be very easy to say I Love you--a bit harder to show it) :rose:

what a powerful scripture--powerful enough to change the world if it was properly heeded...one person at a time--one heart at a time.... :rose: :rose::rose:

Jesus appreciates the kindnesses shown and takes them to his heart--he takes them very personally..... :rose: :rose: :rose:

''Then the King will say to the people on his right, :rose:
''Come, my Father has given you his blessing.
Receive the kingdom God has prepared for you since the :rose:
world was made. I was hungry, and you gave me food.
I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink.
I was alone and away from home, and you invited me
into your house. I was without clothes and you gave me
something to wear. I was sick, and you cared for me.
I was in prison and you visited.'' Matt. 25:34-36...... :rose: :rose:

The kind of hospitality Jesus speaks of here really requires unselfish interest in those around us--and a reaching out to them at a heart level--even to the point of understanding the lonliness in another, as he even mentions inviting in the one who is alone and away from home.
All of these things are things we would want and welcome being done for ourselves should we be in such a condition. It will be noticed and approved of by heaven--as Jesus said--even in ways we might not fully understand or recognize :heartbeat: :rose: :rose: :rose:

''Remember to welcome strangers, because some who
have done this have welcomed angels without knowing it. :rose:
Remember those who are in prison as if you were
in prison with them. Remember those who are suffering
as if you were suffering with them'' Hebrews 13:2-3 .. :rose: :rose: :rose:

and finally all these scriptures can be summed up like this....:heartbeat: :rose: :rose: :rose:

''All things, therefore, that you want men to do to you, you also must likewise do to them; this, in fact, is what the Law and the Prophets mean.'' Matt. 7:12 ....another scripture powerful enough to change the world..;) who knows--maybe it will yet :rose: :rose:
