Then throw in the fact that he's black and a non-christian and you have the means for some dumb- KKK redneck who watches tv all day with these messages streaming in to go out shooting. And people will expect it! Meaning though there will be mourning, there won't be surprise.

Hey sis!
Obama is Christian and he took his oath of office on the Bible. The rumors of him being Muslim and Koran-toting was propaganda from the McCain camp during the campaign. It worked on me too, and I temporarily forgot about all that Rev. Wright stuff.

You are so right about people expecting his assasination - or attempts at least. I live in the midst of redneck country and the sentiment of even those who like him is tinged with some fear and remorse for what seemingly must happen... I mean, even the beloved Pope has a bullet-proof ride, ya know? For some, predjudice rules their hearts and a black man will never rule their lives. He keeps talking about "tough choices" being made - but no one wants the tough consequences of tough times to fall on them of course...

His beginning popularity will probably come back to bite him... even G.W. had high approval ratings early in his White House reign. I hope hope hope it doesn't come to what seems inevitible, given the low sink of humanity these days, but if an attempt or the worst-case scenario happens I don't think any will be surprised, only very sad.

:peace:

lol, shows how much I've been following it :P Though Muslim or Christian, I personally care less about the religion. In the end it boils down to whether or not a person is good or bad.

I read somewhere that they had already quelled three assasination attempts before he was even voted in. 0.o Though who can trust the media these days? :coffeeread:
