yep, I know Brother. I've had enough experience with the stuff to know what it does to your mental outlook.....it also doesn't help with our battle of the flesh....it was quite a potent aphrodisiac, at least for me in my wicked heyday...
Most real medicine (not some of the Pfizer and Smithkline Beecham concoctions) comes from God's plants...that doesn't mean we should smoke them...

For what it's worth, Cannabis is protective of the brain and has experimentally been administered immediately after a stroke and, like I said, it protects brain cells from being damaged. However....it's still illegal in most states. If you are interested, check with compassion clubs. I don't know what they're called in the US. There are many here in Canada.
BTW...it's also a cure for migraine!

As you can see from the above post, what was being suggested does not sound to be an oil, which is not illegal or something under experiment in hosptials, and can be obtained in a health food store. But instead directing someone to 'compassion clubs' where illegial use of canabis could be obtained, and smoked. As you noted, the other u-tube link was posted by SW.. not Resolute.
I do believe that if this is to be discussed, that maybe a seperate thread would be in order.

Before we begin a new thread I would strongly suggest that people actually watch the video. No one mentioned reefers and smoking so please stop overreacting and start listening! It has nothing to do with toking or getting high. It's all got to do with the oil and that's what Resolute was referring to. FYI you cannot buy the oil in a health food store or anywhere legally so please do not assume without first doing your homework.
Isomam has already read up on this as I can see. There is much reference reading and available documentation including the Canadian Cancer Society and the David Suzuki Foundation. What I find most deplorable is how the Supreme Court of Canada handled the court proceedings and arrived at its decision!

You'll have to excuse my ignorance in that I have not bought the oil. I did however before my post, found several internet sites and Natural healing online stores (licensed) that sold the product under a simple google search. I would prefer not to post the links as I feel that would not be appropriate.
Also with research into the topic, many of the studies done for the condition that the hemp is being recommended for, The plant was administered through the form of smoking the plant. So it is understandable why this would raise caution flags for many, and cause one to question what was being suggested.
Hey, Anthony, Lou and Lynn - Iso and SW are right - this ain't about gettin' high, it's about curing and healing. As far as I know, the one way it is NOT to be used is by smoking because of possible lung damage from anything smoked - but it can be ingested, infused in a vaporiser and inhaled, or applied topically. We're talking about it's medicinal uses, which it definitely has, no doubt about it.
Botanical and herbal medicines have been around for thousands of years - and it can't all be bad... even aspirin comes from tree bark. My goodness, American Indians knew what the bark, leaves and roots of any given plant were valuable for - from medicines to dyes. They were doing just fine until 'the white man' brought them unimaginable death-dealing diseases. I think all things natural are better by far than the chemical concoctions the multi-million dollar drug companies can conjure up - now they are the real alchemists. And every day I hear commercials for attorneys who will represent your legal case "if you or someone you know has had a heart attack or stroke" from any number of FDA approved drugs - and this after millions of dollars of so-called research and years of testing on lab animals, which is just sick... imho... and certainly doesn't say much about the FDA process.
Hemp can be made into paper, rope, fiber - it's nearly indestructible. It really is a wonderous multi-use plant - AND there are strains that are used for the above that DO NOT have the THC levels needed for "a high" when smoked and that strain is cultivated in most parts of the world for just those purposes, and for the oil the seeds contain - but say the word "cannibis" and people think "Reefer Madness"!
Overreaction to the words 'hemp' and 'marijuana' is only one reason the plant's medicinal value has been stiffled, ignored and outright persecuted. Another reason it's "unmarketable" is because the FDA can't patent it, regulate it, market it and profit from it. :greedy: Oh yeah - and the #1 reason they won't is because they DO NOT want cures - they'd be out of big business.
I'd bet, if I was a bettin' person, that if it was marketed under any other name it would be hailed as a "miracle cure".
Watch those videos, guys - and with an open mind for the healing properties of the plant - God made it for some good use! I liked the #2 video better than the first one, but admit I haven't watched them all. It takes over an hour to download about 10 minutes of U-Tube video on this dial-up dinosaur! :computerpunch:

ps to Lynn - yes, I understand. Smoking marijuana is used by many to help stimulate the appetite after chemotherapy and radiation for cancer, and also as a pain reducer. It is also available to cancer patients in pill form. My nephew was prescribed the pills when he had terminal lung cancer. When your insides are being eaten-up by cancer, and then radiation and chemo is eating-up what's eating-up your insides... it hurts.(that's such an understatement...:() You will try anything to ease the pain a little, to rest a little. Sure there are other drugs - morphine, also from a plant - but highly addictive and mind-numbing. That's why some Drs. feel they should have a choice to prescribe what they feel is most effective under the circumstances, and they should have a choice between 'natural' medicines and chemical drugs - and so should we!

I will try and keep you all informed as to what's going to be happening concerning treatments etc .. my next appoinment for an EEG is on the 12 th of Dec .
Things take a bit longer up here in Alaska to get to since it's always a very long drive for me ( over 700 miles ) there and back and hurts my money purse severally and since I don't like driving on icy roads over this distance I always need someone to drive me ... what a pain.
The Neurologist has already put me on daily seisure and migraine medication since I have had other strange symptoms too that donot have anything to do with dementia ...
Now it's just wait and see if these syptoms will improve .. of course everything is going to take weeks until I will probably see a change ..

I am so truly and deeply sorry for not getting here sooner. You are and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. When I say I understand what you are going through, I mean it because I have a loved one that had a brain aneurism 3 years ago today and he is still in a nursing home and he continues to fight each and everyday to walk again and to come home.
Remember, Jehovah loves you and will continue to keep his protection around you and just know that there is power in prayer. Keep up the good fight my dear sister and know that we are here for you and will continue to be here for you. Please keep us informed on how you are progressing whenever you can.

Time flies by so fast that one sometimes doesn't even realize where it goes ... it's been a while since I have posted anything but I did peek in now and then for a few minutes here and there to keep my spirit up.
Things have been very frustrating for me to say the least ... and just so you know, I have had to have several medical proceedures done and am still going through physical therapy . I still have some things ahead of me which will incapacitate me for awhile but I hope that I will be able to contribute to the discussions very soon.
My days have become dreary and dull because I am unable to join in with all of you but I pray and I ask for strength and Jehovah's spirit to continue with me in this time of need.
I hope and pray that you all keep holding on and continue the fine fight to the end. Don't let anyone take away the prize that is promissed to you ....

How are you feeling, in between the medical waits and procedures?
I'm a little concerned of isolation and depression, after reading that you are in Alaska to boot!:D Do you have friends and family around? I tend to be a loner and can understand, loneliness. :friends: I'm heading back to some mountains and it may not be the best choice considering that I have severe depression aggravated by the seasons, to boot.
Is there a regular site besides this one that you go to while your weak, perhaps your email? You can PM it to me and I'll try to add some friendly interaction there. How about snail mail, some of us would happily send you some cards to cheer you up.:cheer: Let us do what little bit we can do.:grouphug:
