The sorrow/pain of child bearing was originally a curse. I believe this verse shows that a women's child-bearing will becomea blessing, instead of a curse (Ge 3:15, 16)
16 He told the Woman:
"I'll multiply your pains in childbirth;
you'll give birth to your babies in pain.
You'll want to please your husband,
but he'll lord it over you."
Now inspite of this she will be saved.

And this childbearing infact brought salvation to everyone. Eve started the generations of mankind and Jesus was conceived from a woman's seed.It became a blessing.
