The head of every man is the Christ: in turn the head of a woman is the man; in turn the head of the Christ is God.--1 Cor. 11:3 :rose:

Chapter 11 of 1 Cor. is all about headship. The ultimate example of headship is Jesus Christ and imitating him a true spiritual goal.... :rose:

to speak of headship specifically  I offer these scriptures in Colossians..... :rose::rose::rose:

''whatever it is that you do in work or in word, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, thanking God the Father through Him.
You wives , be in subjection to your husbands, as it is becoming in the Lord. :rose:
You husbands, keep on loving your wives and do not be bitterly angry with them. :rose:
You children, be obedient to your parents in everything, for this is well-pleasing in the Lord. Col. 3: 17-20..... :rose::rose:

we aren't on our own--we have lots of help and guidance... :rose:

''In fact, to this (course) you were called, because even Christ suffered for YOU, leaving YOU a model for you to follow his steps closely.'' 1 Peter 2:21 ..... :rose::rose::rose:

''This work must continue we are all joined together :rose:
in the same faith and in the same knowledge of the :rose:
Son of God. We must become like a mature person, growing
until we become like Christ and have his perfection.'' Ephesians 4:13.... :rose:

''You are the light that gives light to the world.
A city that is built on a hill cannot be hidden. :rose:
And people don't hide a light under a bowl.
They put it on a lampstand so the light shines for all
the people in the house. In the same way, you should be :rose:
a light for other people. Live so that they will see the good
things you do and will praise your Father in Heaven.'' Matt. 5:14-16.... :rose:
