Dearest sis Willa,

You made me cry:cry:

When I read your words!

Don't we all just want to sprawl all over our LORD

Thank you for thinking so higly of me:shocked:

The LORD GOD be with you and all of us bros and sisters on the board:heartbeat:
“And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.
And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed,
The LORD,
The LORD God,
merciful and gracious,
longsuffering,
and abundant in goodness and truth
Keeping mercy for thousands,
forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin,”

At last the revelation!
GOD manifests Himself to men
He who for thousands of years of human existence remained an obscure idea!
At last revealed Himself
Not to the world
But on an arid mountain
In the middle of nowhere
A horrible wilderness
in an obscure place
Even till this day
There He honors a man
A man whom
All will remember and honor
In turn

Moses got to look upon
the Face
The Glorious being
Who is the source of
All beauty,
all goodness!
All praise
to Him
Who revealed
Himself
to a lowly man
Standing upon a
Humble place
In a wilderness
The valley of(Paran) Faran!

Remember
It has been a long while since the LORD
Spoke with a man
And to those whom He spoke with
He did not bother to
Or considered it necessary to
Introduce Himself
And here the LORD
Gives HIS own Grand
Introduction to the man!

The first lesson that the LORD teaches to men there is
that the LORD GOD is merciful and gracious!

Adam should have dwelt a little on the LORD GOD
on His persona!
to plead upon His mercifulness
to try His graciousness
Instead of throwing his lot with
the transgressors?

Adam was confused
the moment of temptation
caught him all of a sudden
as it will one day
all of us
There is chaos
in universe
Only the LORD
Creates order
Out of it!
Adam
did not understand the law
He did not understand
What an act of
mercy
is
the law!
He
fell into
doubt
The diety
Whom
he
Knew
Was
He truly
Benign?
Altruistic?
Or ?
Maybe?
later
much later
Some
of
his
children
called
Gnostics!
referred to Him
vengeful
blood thirsty
an evil god!

Perhaps because Adam had no children
He had no idea of what children’s tribulations do to parent
He was unaware of the bonds of love between a
Father & a son or
A mother & daughter?
He had no idea what a son was?
What it meant to have a son
to see him smile
to watch as he
takes his first step
observe his first mistake
Adam was no father
he became Romeo
the neurotic hero
destroying him
and the rest with
himself.

He did not realize that the one who said :

“and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation."

Would sacrifice His own
for the sin,
transgressions and
iniquities
of all of Adam’s children!
God explained to Moses who
He was,
is
and
will be!

And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.

I am jealous of the Jews

Why were they bestowed with so many honors!

Muslims are so envious of the Jews

All this hatred of Jews

What is it?

It is our disappointment with them

We cannot fathom why in the world anyone would give up a God like HIM

The world is waiting for the sons of God to reveal themselves

Israel!

For God sake wake up!

And believe in the name of the only begotten of the Holy One of Israel

Jeremiah 31:22
How long wilt thou go about, O thou backsliding daughter?

How many holocaust will it take to convince you O Israel?

That you have a responsibility to us

To mankind

You have a debt

Pay your debts and ours

Believe in Him so that seasons of refreshing may come from the LORD

So that once again there maybe a cloud that will cover the earth to shield us from the rays of the burning sun and a pillar of fire for us in the dead of the night.........

Exodus 40: 36-38

And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys:

But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up.

Isaiah4:5,6
For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.

And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the day time from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.
The Book of Leviticus

The training of the sons of Israel begins! or as Paul spoke in Hebrews

The tutorship of the law began

The law became a tutor for the Isaelites

To show what was Sin

Its reprehensibility before God

Its seriousness &

culpability

There was no escaping now!

Yahweh is a Holy God and if He was to tabernacle with you had better be holy yourselves

Leviticus 4:1-3

"And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them:
If the priest that is anointed do sin according to the sin of the people; then let him bring for his sin, which he hath sinned, a young bullock without blemish unto the LORD for a sin offering."

No more easy time for them

Because God tabernacled with them sin could not be overlooked or trivilized. whether it was deliberate or in ignorance.

Thou will have to pay!

The scriptures tell us that in future when Jesus our Lord will rule

He too will rule with a rod of iron

He said did He not that "you will have to render an account about (even) what you speak in the judgement day."

Think about the prcedure for a minute of what the law actually says:

One great evangelist Art Katz said something very interesting in one of his lectures.

He said that the modern world has insulated us towards pain, suffering by showing us things like Boxing matches, Wrestling matches where opponents make each other bleed and it all seems as play.

Then he described how he loved boxing and watched it on TV was almost an addict. So one day he decided to actually go to the boxing ring and watch the bout.

Art says when the blows started coming and the bleeding started it was horrible to watch and by the end of the fight He was absolutely physically sick to his stomach.

The modern world he said desensitizes against pain and suffering, we forget what pain our Lord suffered for our sins!

chapter 4:4

"And he shall bring the bullock unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD; and shall lay his hand upon the bullock's head, and kill the bullock before the LORD."

How many of you have ever slaughtered a goat, sheep or even a bull ever?

I have done it, I had to

As a muslim once a year as all muslims in Pakistan and india are in the habit of doing we sacrifice an animal (sheep, goat, bull) in the tradition of Hazrat Ibrahim (Abraham).

The head of the house holds the neckof the animal in his hand and actually slashes the soft part of the neck with the knife's blade.

When the animal is taken to the slaughter, at first it does not understand as to why it is being usherred to where it happens but soon its instincts tell it of what is about to happen.

Then while its struggling with its limbs to free itself its body in a state of mortal fear of death and destruction you are suppose to overpower it with all your strength!

You are trying to keep your senses and do the abominable as the blade runs over the flesh cleaves open and a gush of crimson blood spurts out and the animal is stll held in a cruel firm grip, as all its soul gradually goes out, as it wriths and groans in the throes of death you are supposed to watch it.

When all the blood is drained out of the poor animal its tied to by upside down and its skinned.

That was what the lesson was

the taking of a life for what you did

everytime an Israelites did what God forbade

He was reminded of his own sinfulness, weakness and also the price

the terrible, terrible price of it

the taking of of life of an innocent one for your llife

the one who had no part in what you did

willfully or in ignorance!

He should have realized the utter unfairness of

what he was doing, the blameless one

the innocent one was being murdered for his sake

Why the Jews did not and still do not make the connection to the

Christ is a marvel

The World has trivialized Sin

the horror of sin

Because we think we are not accountable

But we are and will remain always

for our sins

Why did the Jews not remember the lesson

Their culpabillity as sinners

firstly as sons of adam and secondly

as law breakers of God's Holy Law

Thanks to God Yahweh

who Sacrificed His own Son

Jesus our Lord

He was the blameless One

Who willingly subjected His Holy Life for our sins

Once for All
Deuteronomy 26

"My father was a Syrian, about to perish, and he went down to Egypt and sojourned there, few in numbers; and there he became a nation great, mighty, and populous. But the Egyptians mistreated us, afflicted us, and laid hard bondage on us.

Then we cried to the LORD God of our fathers, and the LORD heard our voice and looked on our affliction and our labor and our expression.

So the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and with an outstrectched arm with great terror and sings and wonders He has brought us to this place and has given us this land, "a land flowing with milk and honey."

and, now, behold, I have brought the first fruit of the land which you, O LORD, have given me.' Then you shall set it before the LORD your God.

So you shall rejoice in every good thing which the LORD your God has given to you and your house, your and the Levite and the stranger who is among you.

When you have finished laying aside all the tithe of your increase in the third year, which is the year fo tithing, and have given it to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, so that they may eat within your gates and be filled.

the you shall say before the LORD you God: 'I have removed the holy tithe from my house, and also have given them to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow according to all Your commandments which You have commanded me, I have not transgressed Your commandments, nor have forgotten them.

Look down from Your holy habitation from heaven, and bless Your people Israel and the land which You have given us, just as You swore to our fathers, "a land with milk and honey."

Moses' fianl words to a nation sitting on the peripheries of the promised land in the land of Moab.

"My father was a Syrian, about to perish, and he went down to Egypt and sojourned there, few in numbers; and there he became a nation great, mighty, and populous."

'I have removed the holy tithe from my house, and also have given them to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow'

Each man had to give tithe which was due on all his surplus and that of his own family, and the whole nation had to do the same, the words above make you realize that each man knew that if he or his neighbor neglected this grave responsibility of not looking after the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless and the widow the LORD's blessing would stop.

And this was thousands of years before the concept of a welfare state.
I was wondering where this thread went, zoobear. :giverose: I know sometimes we lose our inspiration but maybe you've had a little too much perspiration in the desert plains of the middle east.:sweaty::sweat::sweaty::sweat: Keep it up.

Thanks Frank,

I gave the thread a rest. Was not sure whether I would be able to continue anymore.

Last week I gave it a try, couldn't work anything very interesting I am afraid.

Let us see what becomes of it:D

Deuteronomy 28CURSES ON DISOBEDIENCE

The LORD will send on you cursing, confusion, and rebuke in all that you set your hand to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, because of the wickedness of your doings in which you have forsaken Me.

The LORD will strike you with madness and blindness and confusion of heart.
“And you shall grope at noonday, as a blind man gropes in darkness; you shall not prosper in your ways; you shall be only oppressed and plundered continually, and no one shall save you.

A nation whom you have not known shall eat the fruit of your land and the produce of your labor, and you shall be only oppressed and crushed continually.

You shall be driven mad because of the sight which your eyes see.
The alien who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower.

He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.

Moreover all these curses shall come upon you and pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you.

And they shall be upon you for a sign and a wonder and on your descendant forever.

47.”Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things,

48. “therefore you shall serve your enemies whom the LORD will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in need of all things; and He will put a yoke of iron on your neck until He has destroyed you.

Then the LORD will scatter you among all peoples from one end of the earth to the other……………………
“Among these nations you shall find no rest, nor shall the sole of your foot have a resting place, but there the LORD will give you a trembling heart, failing eyes, and anguish of soul.

66. Your life shall hang in doubt before you; you shall fear day and night, and have no assurance of life.

67. “In the morning you shall say, ‘Oh, that it were evening!’ because of the fear which terrifies heart which your eyes see.

There is one predominant feature of these curses and that is 'alienation from God leads to: darkness, confusion, doubt, fear, anguish of the soul, exile physical or spiritual, and madness.

The world seems to have lost its connection with God, or else what is responsible for the above-mentioned symptoms of alienation from God that we all are experiencing today.

The remedy:

47.”Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things,
Deuteronomy 31
14. Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘Behold the day approaches when you must die; Call Joshua……
16. And the LORD said to Moses “Behold you will rest with your fathers; and this people will rise and play the harlot with gods of the foreigners of the land.

The above mentioned words of Jesus sound harsh and unbecoming of the dear Lord of the gospels, but perhaps we are so ingratiated by his supreme sacrifice mentioned in the gospels that we forget Jesus is a staunch upholder of Yahweh's name and honor!

17. Then my anger shall be aroused against them in that day, and I will forsake them and I’ll hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured. And many evils and troubles shall befall them, so that they will say in that day ‘Have not these evils come upon us because our God is not among us?

18. And I will surely hide My face in that day because of all the evil which they have done in that they have turned to other gods.

19. “Now therefore, write down this song for yourselves and teach it to the children of Israel; put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for Me against the children of Israel.

20. “Then it shall be, when many evils and troubles have come upon them, that this song will testify against them as a witness for it will not be forgotten in the mouths of their descendants, for I know the inclination of their behavior today, even before I have brought them to the land of which I swore to give them.

29 “For I know that after my death you will become utterly corrupt, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you and evil will befall you in the latter days, because you will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger through the work of your hands.

Two things stand out of the above-narrative. A grand song which comes as a culmination of a promise made hundreds of years before by Yahweh's to a special people the children of Isreael.

And the grand career of an equally majestic personality the greatest of the Prophets, as my people the muslims like to call him, Moses.

The song is a Universal Prophecy

Still relevant today

The promise of the redemption of the children of Israel from a still future calamity that will befall this grief-stricken bruised and battered children of God.

The repeatition of the expressions of the yet future unfaithfullness of the children of Israel seems unfair and unbecoming of a Benovlent and Grand Peronage as that of Yahweh UNTIL as I suspect this is another mystery that is stored in the 'song of Moses' which I would like to discuss later on.

Interestingly the saints are mentioned in the book of Revelation as singing the 'song of Moses.'

Time to go

Interesting .... :coffeeread:

What is evil?

Evil is a product of God just like good!

Shocking you say?

God has always been, why is He hedged about by evil?

If He is El Shaddai Almighty where did the evil come from?

But if evil was already there and will always be then is it something God has still not come to term with?

The solution, God created it and there are plenty of Scriptures from the Old testament to prove it.

ISAIAH 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. (RWB)

LAMENTATIONS 3:38 Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that good and evil come? (NIV)

ECCLESIASTES 7:13 Consider what God has done: Who can straighten what He has made crooked? 14 When times are good, be happy; but when times are bad, consider: God has made the one as well as the other. Therefore, a man cannot discover anything about his future. (NIV)

It is in line with this that the great prophecy recorded in the book of Deuteronomy chapter 32 describes what God will do to the rebellious nation.

The people after 40 years chastisement are standing in front of the Promised Land, and there goes Moses like a nagging wife pronouncing their future sins and rebellions hardly called for in such a situation.

DEUTERONOMY 32:39 "See now that I, I am He, and there is no God besides Me; it is I who put to death and give life. I have wounded and it is I who heal, and there is no one who can deliver from My hand." (NASU)

That it was all pre-arranged, the fall of the nation, their exile, and dishonor and the yet future time of 'Jacob’s trouble.'

The plight of the sons of Jacob or Israel is tied down with the fate of the billions of human beings who have died and have no hope of ever seeing the land of the living again.

Examine Scriptures (1-corinthians 15:22), we do find that the promise for ALL men and women (all humainity) have yet a future hope but in God’s own time.

There is salvation for ALL but each in his/her own time.
I will continue this discussion in another thread soon.
Deut 32:21-25; 35, 36, 39-43

They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities: and I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.

For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains.

The Israelites are sitting tight waiting to enter into the promised land with their new appointed leader Joshua, and the LORD orders Moses to compose a song to be remembered by all Israelites.

They have not done those things the LORD has just accused them of, infact those generations that will be guilty of it all are yet in their bodies not even born as yet and yet God accuses them and holds them guilty.

I will heap mischiefs upon them; I will spend mine arrows upon them.

They shall be burnt with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, and with bitter destruction: I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them, with the poison of serpents of the dust.

The sword without, and terror within, shall destroy both the young man and the virgin, the suckling also with the man of gray hairs.

I said, I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:

To me belongeth vengeance and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.

For the LORD shall judge his people,
and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.

See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.

For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.

If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.

I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh; and that with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.

Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land, and to his people.

These verses read like ravings of a mad prophet a demonized individual. Could it be the GOD of Israel who brought them out of the prison house of Egypt?

Unless you start to believe that God is sharing His plans for the ultimate salvation and redemption of the Jews at this time, unless you believe in Predestination, unless you believe that all the evil, badness, horrible things along with good things that come our way are both coming form God Almighty and everything is calculated and designed to evoke a predetermined response.
