Have you ever stopped and thought about Jehovah's patience? I mean, as we see and hear each and everyday about all the badness that is in the world today and it keeps getting worse as time goes on, have you ever wondered is it really possible to Jehovah to have so much patience?
Well, yes it is. The scriptures shows us examples. The two that come to my mind is how he showed patience in the days of Noah before the flood and also before the totally destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Also, I have another question for comment and that is "Do you appreciate Jehovah's patience?"
I know I do. If it were not for Jehovah's patience, no one including myself would have ever had the opportunity to change our life around in order to have the hope of everlasting life. My life was not immoral or anything like that but I was celebrating holidays and things like that.
I just wanted to share this thought and question with you. I do hope that this does not offend anyone and if so, Please, please accept my deepest apologies.

Hi Sis LoveJehovah
so you've been thinking about patience. That is wonderful as patience is such a wonderful quality and is a part of what makes up Love. I believe we can't have too much and live in a world in which it is desperately missing. I was in a walmart friday afternoon and it was so busy right then .The lady ringing me out was obviously under alot of stress and I was feeling very bad for her. She said something to me and I smiled at her and then she whispererd to me that she was so tired. I already knew that as I could see it in her face and I mentioned what a tough day it must be when the store is so busy and she said the hard part is how irritated the customers get and how sharp they are-- not only with each other but especially with the clerks. It is really hard on her--a bit of patience and that wouldn't happen. I have thought of her off and on all day. And I So do appreciate the patience of God and Christ. I have benefited from it all my life..... :heartbeat: much love to you my dear friend .....:heartbeat:  wolfie...and I hope you are feeling a bit better..:heartbeat::heartbeat::heartbeat:
Something Jesus said in his sermon on the mount seemed to always get misapplied. It was the phrase, ''YOU must accordingly be perfect, as YOUR heavenly Father is perfect." (Matthew 5:48)
It became like an organizational mandate that each of us must be holy, perfectly obedient and without flaw despite our sin and imperfection. ("Noah did just so" ... although no reference is made to remind us that it was Jehovah giving him the command not some self-assuming prophet). Even most of the cross-references in the NWT apply Matt 5:48 to holiness. But when reading what led up to Jesus' statement, it actually said:
“You heard that it was said, ‘You must love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ However, I say to you: Continue to love your enemies and to pray for those persecuting you; that you may prove yourselves sons of your Father who is in the heavens, since he makes his sun rise upon wicked people and good and makes it rain upon righteous people and unrighteous. For if you love those loving you , what reward do you have? Are not also the tax collectors doing the same thing? And if you greet your brothers only, what extraordinary thing are you doing? Are not also the people of the nations doing the same thing?"
I find it almost insulting that so much admonition from the WT is about holiness and obedience ... almost to the point of sinlessness, while the perfection Jesus was talking about here was really all about mercy. Check out Luke's account: "Continue becoming merciful, just as your Father is merciful." (Luke 6:36)
So continue being patient, sisters. That way we will survive when Jesus arrives to do away with all impatient, demanding and presumptuous men who think love can exist without mercy.
Love,
sw

Hi LJ.:hibye:
Yes, I apprciate Jehovah's patience a lot because I am so goofy and imperfect.
But I know God's standard is very high and we should strive to do our best to be good witneses. That's why we need Jesus so He can cover our imperfections

Jehovah’s patience is for the final gathering of his church, the bride of Christ. Through the church will ALL mankind be blessed, regardless of whether they celebrate holidays or not. :heartbeat: All these rules and requirements were imposed by religion, NOT Jehovah.
