Warm Christian Love
Bangalore
Hi Bangalore: How are you my dear brother? Often times when I think about persecution I mostly think about persecution against Christians in Muslim lands; however, I’ve also read some shocking stories about persecution in India.
Have you ever been persecuted? Do you feel discriminated for not practicing the Hindu religion? I do not remember the exact details, but sometime ago I read about a Christian family that supposedly belonged to the “Untouchable†class, and they were murdered because they refused to belong to the class that fate had assigned them.
Apparently the head of the family was more successful than his neighbors, even though the neighbors belonged to a higher caste. His children attended computer school and were on their way of getting out of their neighborhood and were ready to move to a better place.
From what I’ve read, apparently in the Hindu religion you are not allowed to improve your lot in life no matter how hard you try. Interestingly, 5 of the top men that appear on this year’s list of the richest men in the world are from India.
I read something unbelievable about one of them. This guy is building the most expensive “House†in the world. From what I remember his house is going to be a 27 story building located in the heart of Bombay. The price tag? 2 billion dollars!!
I was never able to understand why is it that someone like him could do such a thing. It wasn’t until I began reading a book about Hinduism and the karma factor when things began making sense to me. Apparently you have what you deserve because of the things that you did - or failed to do- in past lives.
That is the reason why no mercy or consideration is shown towards those that belong to the untouchable class. According to this book, even Ghandi, the guy known as Mr. Peace, was furious when the Indian government tried to make provisions to protect the most unfortunate people in Indian society.
It is difficult to understand other countries and other cultures. Fortunately, there will come a day when the Hindu and all other religions of the world will be destroyed forever, and only the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ will remain. It’ll be wonderful to see those people who have been prisoners of Babylon the Great being set free in order to enjoy the glorious freedom that belongs to the children of God.. -Romans 8:21-.
