Armageddon and the Report.
The word Armageddon conjures up great fear for some and that is because of religious teachings. It is therefore important to examine what the bible Armageddon really means and remove the false teachings of religion .

Armageddon

This word appears in Revelation 16:16 Har Meghid•dohn´ the meaning “Mountain of Megiddo,” or “Mountain of Assembly of Troops.”
What is Armageddon? Is it some kind of atomic World War with nation against nation? Is it a war with God and mankind? Is it a war of attrition? To answer the question let’s look at the scripture in question. Rev 16:16 “Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon.”
First we must ask, who has gathered the Kings of the earth to Armageddon? Rev 16: 14 gives us the answer. 14”They are spirits of demons performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for the battle on the great day of God Almighty.” So it does not appear that it’s God who brings on this conflict but rather it’s the Watchers who bring it on. This results in a gathering of world powers or kings. So this war is a conflict between the spirits of the heavens that results in the Kings of the earth being gathered. So its The Watchers verses Yeshua and his spirits. This will be the great show down of the spirits, a climax of conflict that has been going on for thousands of years. To gather an army obviously takes much planning and time and this event is no different.

Location

Hebrew HAR-MAGEDON. “Har-Mageddon” is therefore a “place.” Greek TOPON in English “topology, topography.”= place, but what kind of “place”?
History reveals that Megiddo was the battleground for many battles between nations. The Bible records interesting wars related to this geographical location. For example King Ahaziah died there, and King Josiah was also killed there by Pharaoh Neco. Judges 5:19; 2 Kings 9:27; 23:29
Is the Revelation Armageddon therefore a location as above?
The Watchers or spirits in Rev 16 are said to led them (Kings) together into the place that is called in Hebrew Har Meghid•dohn. Clearly earth’s rulers and their armies [or, troops] are being gathering by demonic influence to a battle with God. [Revelation 17:14; 19:11-19] Rev 16:12 says “The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East. 13Then I saw three evil[a] spirits that looked like frogs; they came out of the mouth of the dragon.” This scripture helps us see what will happen to the lead up to this great conflict in the spirit world.

The drying up of the river Euphrates. What is it?

Rev 17:1 informs us its people, so this drying up of people prepares the way for divine punishment from the King of the East. Dan 11: 44 confirm this by saying “But reports from the east and the north will alarm him, and he will set out in a great rage to destroy and annihilate many. 45 He will pitch his royal tents between the seas at the beautiful holy mountain. Yet he will come to his end, and no one will help him.” Who is the King of the East? Its none other than Jesus. Notice the Euphrates River dries up to make way for the kings from the "East." This action on the part of the kings of the East (Jesus and Jehovah) is in response to the threat to the holy mountain or his Kingdom heirs. This mountain is representative of his heavenly government and therefore must be protected. The Devil will makes his move at this time to destroy the kingdom representatives on earth and Jesus response will be to create a more deadly threat upon the devil and His military forces. What could it be? This action on the part of the Kings of the earth forces Jesus to take action. So the nations bring on their own Armageddon.
The Report in Jesus day
The report that will alarm them is the very same issue that alarmed rulers in Jesus day. Ps 2: 1 Why do the nations conspire [a]
and the peoples plot in vain? 2 The kings of the earth take their stand
and the rulers gather together against the LORD
and against his Anointed One. 3 "Let us break their chains," they say,
"and throw off their fetters." 4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs;
the Lord scoffs at them. 5 Then he rebukes them in his anger
and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, 6 "I have installed my King
on Zion, my holy hill."
Notice before this report that disturbs them there must be a drying up of, not only support for religion, but also for the rulers too. This will possibly come in the form of a rejection of a New World Order. How will this happen? Rev 16 describes this by saying “The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.” So the wild beast and the woman experience a drying up of support from the peoples of the earth. The fifth angel helps us understand why this support from the peoples is not forthcoming. 10“The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was plunged into darkness. .......This expose of the NWO turns their kingdom into darkness. Yet even this does not turn men to god but rather they curse God ....”Men gnawed their tongues in agony 11and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done.”
Time is allowed for the gathering of the Kings of the earth and near the end of this gathering an ongoing report will disturb the kings of the earth and their kingdoms will be plunged into darkness through this. Yes their New World Order did become darkness, not light.

REPORT in our day

What is this report that disturbs them? It is the report that the King of the East is coming. The seventh angel tells us of a voice from the throne (Jesus) "It is done!" 18Then there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder and a severe earthquake. No earthquake like it has ever occurred since man has been on earth, so tremendous was the quake. What are these flashes of light? These flashes of lightning are the reports about the coming king Jesus. Flashes of light will come to his faithful and then Joel 2:30 will be fulfilled. This report is given in response to the outpouring of the SPIRITUAL LIGHT and the outpouring of spirit on men and women. What is happening to them is evidence of the kings coming. Joel 2:29says “ I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. 30 I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. 31 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.” This manifestation of spirit is twofold. It reveals who the sons of God are and it disturbs the rulers of the world because of the "wonders in the heavens and on the earth." Both men and Spirits await the revealing of the sons of God 19”The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.” Rom 8:19. A great manifestation of Jesus power will be revealed though his brothers at that time and through his brothers on earth a great hail will take place, waters of truth will come forth from them like a great hail, and men will blaspheme God through this. This event disturbs them so much they must kill these people as they did Jesus. More will be said on this issue as the time gets near. I will post this on THE WATCHMAN site soon and update it.

So in summary, we are to expect a drying up of or support for religious organisations and for the NWO.
The fifth plague is interesting because Jesus masterfully reveals the devils plan. The leaders of the world will understand that Jah-Bul-On was really a wicked spirit who betrayed them. The Report is about the king of the east coming. By pouring out spirit upon his faithful, Jesus informs the nations he is coming.

Re the place or location of the great battle Armageddon- searching through my brain I recall the WT was emphatic that it wasn't a literal place but a 'situation' the world would find itself in.

Probably many other groups think along same lines.

Hi Tessa. To gather all the Kings of the earth together for the war would take great order and persuasion. Therefore the gathering would be in union of thought and common purpose. Rev:17For God has put it into their hearts to accomplish his purpose by agreeing to give the beast their power to rule, until God's words are fulfilled.
THE REPORT
The Report that disturbs them will become the greatest issue though. It looks as if the Kings from the east will never come, and when they see the SIGN they are coming this will greatly shock them. A rejection of a New World Order is getting very strong and is being exposed for what it really is. Rev 16:12 says. This is making way for the Kings of the east. “The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the East.

What are these flashes of light? These flashes of lightning are the reports about the coming king Jesus.

I agree with the above, Arrows are instruments of war. Rev16:17,21 is a period of judgement (during the seventh bowl). The judgement period is mixed with light, voices, thunder, great earthquake and a great hail. They all have an application to Judgement. There is an old saying “it just hit me like a bolt of lightning” Although this is a judgement period it is also a great enlightenment period for Christ's brothers and they are given light in the form of judgement messages as you say. The voices that are heard are communications that have not been experienced since the apostles day. How this happens we do not know, just as Jesus followers did not know what would happen when the promised helper came to them at Pentecost. We will just have to wait and see. It appears to me that the Ten horns cover more territory than the USA and their corporations. The European Union and the American Union are the power that could bring in a NWO. This is the way all kings can be gathered. If they get together this will be a mighty force to be reckoned with and more logically fit the Ten horns. OR the Ten horns may just sybolize all of earths kings from each continent with one though and one mind on the matter..

By most standards, there are a seven continents - Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America.

I've been thinking about Rev 16 today, after watching a video about the New World Order and all that fun stuff.

Anyway, something occured to me...

"And the sixth one poured out his bowl upon the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, that the way might be prepared for the kings from the rising of the sun." (16:12)

What the elite want is a "New Age", as represented by a rising sun!

So I actually suspect the "kings" here are the people who want to be the kings of that New Age! Demon-inspired "illuminated ones", as it were.

Of course, we know that politicians, New Agers and recently even the Catholic Church have been calling for a New World Order.

To do this, they need to bring everything together into one. ("To gather them together...")

They're doing a pretty good job of this. Europe is now virtually united into one political entity (the EU), and the American version is in progress as we speak (the NAU).

Plus, in order for this elite to rule supreme, they need to destroy the old world religion (Christianity, as headed by the Vatican of Rome) - which is why these kings turn on the harlot, Babylon.

Fortunately, this is exactly what Jehovah also wants. In this, they are actually carrying out Jehovah's thought. (Rev 17:17)

So I do think Rev 16 is about the bringing about of the New World Order. However, the moment they achieve it, they fight against God.

That is their first and last mistake, before they are wiped into oblivion :D
