Hi all,
Can I offer a suggestion, and for the record I have not had the plesure of joining the online paltalk in any capacity. I have tried a few time since the memorial of last year to no avail. software/schedule.
i will make it one day..
Anyhow to the point. The think tank,, why not keep it just that..
As for specific subjects, due to many having been given insight into certain areas. I personally feel that some things I understand in my mind I cannot put into words..
A "talk" might draw out some really great questions. how will that be handled??
For some of us it is a flash and goes quickly.. so if it cannot be addressed it might be missed.. Okay so we can write it down.. ut then we miss what is being said.
What about recording it? and maybe into smaller sections so that it can be played and stopped without lossing continuity?
Anthony could here himself and be able to discuss what was said without blowing his thought process.. cuase you would be on pause...
Just some thoughts..:dontknow:
This weeks "Think-Tank" topic will be
"All Things New"
That is
New Heavens
New Earth
New Jerusalem
New Creation
Thanks for that Anthony:giverose:
I love the menu! :read:

The "all things new" part on the think tank was a blast.
I don't know if 1Corinthians 15: 42 onward has been covered in connection with the topic of the new creation. But what caught my eye was 1Corinthians 15:45 which says
If there is a soulish body, there is a spiritual also. Thus it is written also, The first man, Adam, "became a living soul:" the last Adam a vivifying Spirit.
Concordant Literal Version
Since all mankind was sold into sin and death by Adam, we all have the opportunity through Jesus to become part of the new creation.
See you guys on the weekend. :)
hey!:hibye:
I noticed that there is no topic posted for the Sunday March 11th think tank as yet.
If nobody minds, what about getting into another Revelation topic. We're trying to find all the connections to the two-horned wild beast out of the earth.
"And I saw another wild beast ascending out of the earth, and it had two horns like a lamb, but it began speaking as a dragon. And it exercises all the authority of the first wild beast in its sight. And it makes the earth and those who dwell in it worship the first wild beast, whose death-stroke got healed. And it performs great signs, so that it should even make fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the sight of mankind. And it misleads those who dwell on the earth, because of the signs that were granted it to perform in the sight of the wild beast, while it tells those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the wild beast that had the sword-stroke and yet revived. And there was granted it to give breath to the image of the wild beast, so that the image of the wild beast should both speak and cause to be killed all those who would not in any way worship the image of the wild beast. And it puts under compulsion all persons, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the slaves, that they should give these a mark in their right hand or upon their forehead, and that nobody might be able to buy or sell except a person having the mark, the name of the wild beast or the number of its name. Here is where wisdom comes in: Let the one that has intelligence calculate the number of the wild beast, for it is a man’s number; and its number is six hundred and sixty-six." -- Revelation 13:11-18
Do you find any connection in this scripture to 2 Thess. chapter 2 or scriptures in Daniel? Anywhere else in the Bible?
I for one, would appreciate any input on this subject to get me rolling on this topic. ....could use a fresh viewpoint!

Resolute,
I believe we will be using part of the time to plan for the memorial. I don't know how long that will take so we can have this topic on standby.
Thanks for that Anthony! Memorial is getting near and needs to be discussed as soon as possible. Anything else can be bumped forward.

Sunday's conversation was a bit of a stroll around the park. Those Beastly beasts would not be nailed down, though perhaps one of the problems is they have not yet reared their ugly heads, either out of the sea or the earth.
There is some strange stuff being put out by the Gov. Bod. in the April Watchtower.
Putting on prophetess cap I suspect it is going to get even weirder.
Suggested maybe for this Sunday is a close look at what is really said in Acts 15. Â
(Hey even Freddy Franz  didn't like the use of this chapter to give support for a governing bod, but, being a meanie I suspect he had ulterior motives).
So suggestion is to read through and discuss Acts chapter 15 and check what it really says.
What think the rest of you?
Regarding Fred Franz and the GB here is an article I found on Randy's site.
Fred Franz Discredited the Concept of a "Governing Body"
[The contents of this post have been moved to "Watchtower Topics" section. Please follow link. BTW, this is very good stuff and we don't want it to get lost on this thread. -- admin team]

Hi all!:hibye:
I will open the room at the usual time in case anyone shows up but, as far as I know, nothing specific has been planned for Sunday April 1st.
As the memorial is on everyone's mind, it seems appropriate to keep the focus there. Perhaps, if anyone comes to the discussions 101 room today, we can discuss things around the subject of Jesus' death and resurrection.
Our little family watched "The Passion" again last night. The tears still flowed even at the fifth viewing. It's a remarkable film and is guaranteed to make you fall in love with our Lord, if you aren't already deeply in love with him.:giverose:

Hi all :hibye:
I notice that no-one has posted a topic for this week's thinktank (April 8th).
A possibility, then, for this week, is "leaven" in all it's various aspects.
Some scriptures/questions to ponder:
What did Jesus mean when he said:
“The kingdom of the heavens is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three large measures of flour, until the whole mass was fermented.†-- Matthew 13:33; (Gen. 18:6)
How about:
"Jesus said to them: “Keep YOUR eyes open and watch out for the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.†7 So they began to reason among themselves, saying: “We did not take any loaves along.†8 Knowing this, Jesus said: “Why are YOU doing this reasoning among yourselves, because YOU have no loaves, YOU with little faith? 9 Do YOU not yet see the point, or do YOU not remember the five loaves in the case of the five thousand and how many baskets YOU took up? 10 Or the seven loaves in the case of the four thousand and how many provision baskets YOU took up? 11 How is it YOU do not discern that I did not talk to YOU about loaves? But watch out for the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.†12 Then they grasped that he said to watch out, not for the leaven of the loaves, but for the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees." -- Matthew 16:6-12 (see also Mark 8:15-21)
“Watch out for the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. 2 But there is nothing carefully concealed that will not be revealed, and secret that will not become known." -- Luke 12:1-2
Consider this from Paul:
"YOUR [cause for] boasting is not fine. Do YOU not know that a little leaven ferments the whole lump? 7 Clear away the old leaven, that YOU may be a new lump, according as YOU are free from ferment. For, indeed, Christ our passover has been sacrificed. 8 Consequently let us keep the festival, not with old leaven, neither with leaven of badness and wickedness, but with unfermented cakes of sincerity and truth." -- 1 Corinthians 5:6-8
At Passover time they were to clear out all leaven and leavened products from their homes. The new yeast for the coming year's leavened products was to be restarted from scratch...a bit of a test for the Jewish housewife who had a particularly tasty strain of yeast.
Part of the lump of new dough was a contribution to Jehovah (Numbers 15:20) .....just thinking about how Jehovah would have viewed a lump of dough that had "old" leaven in it....contrary to his command.
In dealing with the circumcision issue, Paul had this to say about "leaven":
"YOU were running well. Who hindered YOU from keeping on obeying the truth? 8 This sort of persuasion is not from the One calling YOU. 9 A little leaven ferments the whole lump. 10 I am confident about YOU who are in union with [the] Lord that YOU will not come to think otherwise; but the one who is causing YOU trouble will bear [his] judgment, no matter who he may be. 11 As for me, brothers, if I am still preaching circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? Then, indeed, the stumbling block of the torture stake has been abolished. 12 I wish the men who are trying to overturn YOU would even get themselves emasculated." -- Galatians 5:7-12
Anyway....just a few thoughts that could be "chewed over".
