Hi there Stephen! :hibye: Welcome to our beautiful cafe! :rose:
I promise you won't be 'stoned' :shocked: here like your Biblical predecessor ... but I can't promised you won't find a tomato or two ... ;) :P :tomatoed:
Seriously though ... :giverose:
I hope that you will come to love our family as much as I do ... :grouphug:
Looking forward to sharing scriptural insights :read: and having some encouraging discussions over a cuppa coffee, tea or whatever your beverage of choice ... :drinking:

In Christ's love--wolfie :heartbeat:
Thank you very much for the warm welcome. I'm not sure who the Biblical predecessor is in reference to, but I don't think I can take too many tomatoes. Too much acid for this old stomach. :D :eat:
This particular forum has a different atmosphere from the others that I have joined or participated in. Seems to be a much warmer feel here.
Again, thank you for the warm welcome.
With Christian love,
Stephen
Hey Stephen ... :D
Well it seems my attempt at 'humor' and 'tongue in cheek' fell rather flat and kersplat ... :shocked::funnyface:
I was speaking about the Stephen in the Bible who was a faithful servant of God and follower of Christ who came to a sad end in the eyes of men but who lives in the heart of our heavenly Father!! :heartbeat::thumbsup:
Acts 6:5 ...
(ASV) And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolaus a proselyte of Antioch;
Acts 7:57-60 ...
57 But they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and rushed upon him with one accord;
58 and they cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul.
59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon the Lord, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
All I was saying was that this wouldn't happen to you ... ;)
Soooooooo ... now that I've embarrassed myself completely ... :blush: I'll exit stage left ... :redface:
Christian love, BR :sheepy: :bouncyhearts:

OHHHHH. :D Now I get it. Please don't be embarrassed. I'm old and it takes me a while sometimes. :detective: ;) In another forum some have the habit of using the term "biblical" in reference to those forum participants who use "too many Scripture quotes" and those who are posting on "religious themes". That's what I like about this forum, it is more about acceptance, tolerance and understanding between individuals with varying backgrounds.
Welcome Stephen! :hibye:
