The bible claims that snakes originally did not go about on their bellies. (Genesis 3:14) One should wonder how Moses could have known such a thing, as Moses would have never personally seen a snake with legs! But this is exactly what fossil evidence supports; that snakes have legged ancestors. This is contrary to the quazi-religious macroevolutionary theory which in the past claimed that snakes grew legs producing lizards... etc!

Many have mocked the bible for claiming the existence of a walking and talking snake. Though the serpent of today is a cursed replica of it's clever forbearer, it is a scientific fact that serpents once had hind legs. Moses establishes this point thousands of years before any evidence could verify it. This gives high credence to accepting that no only did the snake have hind legs but that it was the most clever of all the land animals. To this day animals can talk! An African gray parrot can talk at a five year old level in our spoken languages. A gorilla can talk in sign language at a three year old level. And researchers have discovered that dolphins have personal names... and when they examined the seeming chirps of ground hogs they discover a rich dialog used to describe colors and objects.

And this isn't even considering the fact that the bible says the snake was acting as a medium for a spirit. It is well known that spirits do not even need material creatures to manifest sounds and the spoken word (including moving objects)! You can watch a few of the 'paranormal' investigative shows now common on TV and you will see that they consistently record the communications of spirits in 'haunted' places throughout the world.

I noticed this in a BBC news item recently.

Seeing as a snake/reptile does not have the voice apparatus that humans have could it be that Eve & the serpent were communicating telepathically? :thinking:
Did humans & animals have such a capacity in the garden? If this were the case is that why the serpent is described as the most subtle beast of the field?
Does it imply that the serpent was somehow "harder to read"?

Telepathy is a possibility... suppose that the voice apparatus never existed for a serpent instead of just being lost as in the case of the serpent hind legs...

Here is an example of an animal having telepathy with a human;
