On the ketogenic diet, carbohydrates are severely restricted and so cannot provide for all the metabolic needs of the body. Most energy is instead produced by a high rate of fatty-acid oxidation in the cell mitochondria. This produces large amounts of acetyl-CoA, which the liver uses to synthesize the three ketone bodies beta-hydroxybutyrate, acetoacetate, and acetone. The brain is normally fueled in the average diet solely by glucose; fatty acids do not cross the blood-brain barrier. Ketone bodies can enter the brain but they are not used preferentially to glucose. The ketone bodies are converted to acetyl-CoA and subsequently to adenosine triphosphate (ATP) as part of the Krebs cycle within the brain mitochondria.
The ketogenic diet results in changes in neurotransmitter levels and the cerebral energy state is improved as well as adaptive changes to brain energy metabolism that increases the energy reserves; ketone bodies are a more efficient fuel than glucose, and the number of mitochondria is increased. This may help the neurons to remain stable in the face of increased energy demand, and may also confer a neuroprotective effect. It is found to have antiepileptogenic properties.
The best source for fatty-acid energy production is coconut because it has an abundance of medium-chain triglycerides, which are much more ketogenic than other fatty-acids. The most abundant oil in coconut is lauric acid which is found in breast milk and is required in the human diet to created 20% of our hormones. The derivative monoglyceride monolaurin is the substance that keeps infants from getting viral and bacterial or protozoal infections. Coconut is anticarcinogenic, antimicrobial, virucidal, improves insulin secretion and utilization of blood glucose, improves calcium and magnesium absorption and supports the development of strong bones and teeth, improves digestion and bowel function, reduces inflammation, improves cholesterol ratio reducing risk of heart disease, functions as a protective antioxidant, improves utilization of essential fatty acids and protects them from oxidation, dissolves kidney stones, supports thyroid function, increases metabolic rate,... just to name some of it's many health benefits... coconut may actually be the fruit from the tree of life!!!
Our original design was to utilize a ketogenic diet, and coconut is the only fruit capable of achieving it.
Fruits originally did not have so much sugar in them! They have been cultivated over the centuries to have excessive amounts of sugar.... If you were wondering how the other fruits fit in...
And if you are wonder why people would still die though eating from the tree of life you must remember the water radiation shield no longer exists to protect us!
I don't encourage you to buy the "coconut" from the average corporate store.... which is mostly water, sugar, and antifreeze anyway!
I personally get mine from this supplier;
