If any man seems to himself to be a formal worshiper and yet does not bridle his tongue,...this man's form of worship is futile.--Jas. 1:26

Watchtower comments: ''These words show that how you use your tongue is a serious matter. It affects more than your relationship with your mate; it affects your relationship with Jehovah God. (1 Peter 3:7) You are wise to take nnote of how you speak to your mate. if a stressful situation develops, try to defuse the tension. A good example is a situation that arose in the life of Isaac and his wife, Rebekah, as recorded at Genesis 27:46-28:4. Instead of respponding harshly, Isaac sent their son Jacob away to find a God-fearing wife who was not likely to become a source of distress to Rebekah. Likewise, when disagreements arise in your marriage, resist the tendency to analyze who is right and who is wrong. ''Pursue the things making for peace and the things that are upbuilding to one another,'' says Romans 14:19. w06 9/15 1:10,11

I have always thought the way we speak to others is very important -as is reflected in today's scripture. I Love the book of James also as it is so full of love and loving guidance. The way we treat others is the hallmark of Christianity (jmo  ) as Jesus led the way and treated others with such courtesy and dignity-- and putting others first. :heartbeat:

''In the kingdom of God...the important things :rose::rose::rose:
are living right with God, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. :rose:
Anyone who serves Christ by living this way is pleasing
God and will be accepted by other people. So let us try :rose:
to do what makes peace and helps one another.''
Romans 14: 17-19....... :rose: :rose:

''When you do things, do not let selfishness or pride :rose:
be your guide. Instead, be humble and give more honor
to others than to yourselves. Do not be interested only
in your own life, but be interested in the lives of others.
In your lives you must think and act like Christ Jesus.'' :rose:
Philippians 2: 3-5 ..

In the words of Dr. Phil :) --you can be happy --or you can be right. Seems like another way to simply say just ''let it go.'' ..... :grouphug: --or ''Be excellent to each other.'' :happyheart:
Have a wonderful day today friends--Wednesday already :heartbeat:
