Sorry; but a dozen UN Humvees in Texas does not a "takeover" make. They're made in Indiana. Maybe they're being shipped out?

Now...the Russian missile launcher (with missile, I might add) would be very problematic in Texas. I don't think Texans would appreciate that at all! But why would the UN need a Russian missile to do police work in Texas?

I'm stumped!

Hi Gus: You always seem to make fun of paranoids and the people who try to talk and warn us about the New World Order, why is that? In the discussions that we’ve had regarding this matter I came up with the impression that somehow you do not believe in any of this stuff, or if you do, you do not put that much attention on it.

You underestimate the importance of these developments, why is that?

Psalm 2 talks about a conspiracy against Almighty God and His Anointed, and yet, you make fun out of it. Why do you do that?

Hey, Terra! I believe that there is a "New World Order" - of sorts - and that it has been in-the-making for centuries. It's just not what everyone thinks it is. I also believe that the unsuspecting proponents of the NWO are the very ones who believe this kind of foolishness. Contrary to popular belief, Terra, paranoia is a mental disease. It is not healthy...and it is not where one should be looking to find truth. Anyone whose life depends on belief without any evidence and is governed by paranoia has already taken a long walk off a short pier...or is a member of a fundamentalist religion.

Believe me, these developments are not underestimated here on the homefront. Belief that they are truthful, significant not absolute foolishness is yet another sign that the masses have flipped over to the dark side.

The fact that there is a Russian missile in Texas doing law enforcement work for the UN should have been a clue that this is a real piece of doo-doo. It's like the hypnotist who turns a man into a "seal" in his stage act. The audience sees that he is a man. Only he foolishly believes that he is a seal. There are no UN "troops" doing police work in Texas...guar-an-teed...and that kind of hocum will never further your cause.

Hi Gus: How would you call a constant and permanent state of alertness? Is there a word for it? Since “Paranoia” carries such a negative stigma, how would you describe someone who waits and expects terrible things to happen due to his diligent study of the Word of God?

Is it possible to be “Mentally healthy” when we know what awaits us and when we try to make sense of the things that take place around us? Is it “Paranoia” to see the developments around us as the fulfilment of Bible prophecy?

Have you ever heard the business motto “Only the paranoid survive? Do you think there might be some truth in those words?

If there is some truth in those words, what makes you think being a paranoid is such a bad thing?

By the way, what do you think this New World Order might be? If it is not the kingdom of the Wild Beast, what is it then?

Situational awareness.

Paranoid.

Quote:
25"There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. 26Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. 27At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." (Luke 21)

No...but seeing a Russian missile in Texas is meant to confuse the issue. Confusion comes from one source and one source only...and he causes paranoia.

No and no. I can guarantee you there is no truth to those words.

The wild beast is small potatoes.

Quote:
1As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. (Eph 2)

But not all is lost:

Quote:
3All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. 4But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Eph 2)

Hi Gus: I wish I could agree with you but I can’t. Although we’re not there yet, there will be a time in which paranoia will be the only way to go. This is what the advice from the Word of God will be for those days:

"Do not put YOUR faith in a companion. Do not put YOUR trust in a confidential friend. From her who is lying in your bosom guard the openings of your mouth. For a son is despising a father; a daughter is rising up against her mother; a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man’s enemies are the men of his household". -Micah 7:5-

If this is not paranoia I don’t know what it is. Since sooner or later all have us will be paranoids, what is wrong with an early start?
Hi TN

The term paranoia is mostly used to describe a medical condition....imo.

" a) A psychotic disorder characterized by delusions of persecution with or without grandeur, often strenuously defended with apparent logic and reason.
b) Extreme... irrational distrust of others."

Being cautious is healthy, imo. ("saved" me a few times...grin)

Matthew 10:16...

“Look! I am sending YOU forth as sheep amidst wolves; therefore prove yourselves cautious as serpents and yet innocent as doves. Be on YOUR guard against men; for they will deliver YOU up to local courts, and they will scourge YOU in their synagogues.
Why, YOU will be haled before governors and kings for my sake, for a witness to them and the nations. However, when they deliver YOU up, do not become anxious about how or what YOU are to speak; for what YOU are to speak will be given YOU in that hour; for the ones speaking are not just YOU, but it is the spirit of YOUR Father that speaks by YOU. Further, brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child, and children will rise up against parents and will have them put to death...."

Maybe this will help, Terra:

Quote:
Paranoia
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

For other senses of this word, see paranoia (disambiguation).

Paranoia is a disturbed thought process characterized by excessive anxiety or fear, often to the point of irrationality and delusion. Paranoid thinking typically includes persecutory beliefs concerning a perceived threat. In the original Greek, παράνοια (paranoia) simply means madness (para = outside; nous = mind) and, historically, this characterization was used to describe any delusional state.

[edit] Use in psychiatry

More recently[1], the clinical use of the term has been used to describe delusions where the affected person believes they are being persecuted. Specifically, they have been defined as containing two central elements:

1. The individual thinks that harm is occurring, or is going to occur, to him or her.
2. The individual thinks that the persecutor has the intention to cause harm.

Paranoia is often associated with psychotic illnesses, particularly schizophrenia, although attenuated features may be present in other primarily non-psychotic diagnoses, such as paranoid personality disorder. Paranoia can also be a side effect of medication or recreational drugs such as marijuana and particularly stimulants such as methamphetamine.

In the unrestricted use of the term, common paranoid delusions can include the belief that the person is being followed, poisoned or loved at a distance (often by a media figure or important person, a delusion known as erotomania or de Clerambault syndrome).

Other common paranoid delusions include the belief that the person has an imaginary disease or parasitic infection (delusional parasitosis); that the person is on a special quest or has been chosen by God; that the person has had thoughts inserted or removed from conscious thought; or that the person's actions are being controlled by an external force.

Therefore, in common usage, the term paranoid addresses a range of mental conditions, assumed by the use of the term to be of psychiatric origin, in which the subject is seen to generalise or project fears and anxieties onto the external world, particularly in the form of organised behaviour focused on them. The syndrome is applied equally to powerful people like executives obsessed with takeover bids or political leaders convinced of plots against them, and to common people who believe for instance that shadowy agencies are operating against them. (Italics mine)

Not trusting someone who is not trustworthy is not paranoia...it's intelligent. What you are describing is a diagnosed mental illness. Illness is not healthy under any circumstances. If a paranoid is espousing the subject of his paranoia as fact, it would be equally unhealthy to give him credence. Agree with me or not, at least agree with the mental health professionals.
