Hi all, I thought I would stop by to say hi since my account was never disabled. Normally I will not be chatting but this little tid bit was too important to pass up.
You can get a NEW copy of 'Millions Now Living Will Never Die!" For $9.00 at Amazon!!! It is the acutal book and is a new copy. I don't know how someone got the copyright on it but they did and now everyone can get a copy.
Anyway I will have to talk to the admins why my account was not deactivated. But it was nice talking to everyone.

Well first of all, I would say that this is a unusual situation as the WTBTS will not get the money. I do not know who published the book, but it is a great way to show people what was really taught.
I think that I needed a break from the arguments. The one about abortion just did me in as well as other discussions that were going on at the time. I simply don't wish to argue over God any longer. Don't get me wrong, I still believe, but it seems to me that everyone is more worried about defending themselves than God. I was getting that way as well which is why I stopped.

Because when I go to the elders and disassociate myself, I want to have a hard copy of the book and point to the place where it states the false prophecy.
If I take a web link into the meeting, all they will say is "Well, that's just rumor and lies. They did not really say that." But if I bring in THE BOOK, what can they say? Sure, they can say it is old light, but they cannot deny it was said. That is why I am waiting until I can get a copy of the Finished Mystery as well.
After this, when a Witness comes to my door I can show them this information and they will probibly never bother me again (or I hope that will be the case.) :cheer:

When I went to a Kingdom Hall, they had a lot of the old books (Including every Watchtower from 1879 onward) but we were not allowed to touch them as though they were sacred relics. Well, we could but the elders frowned upon it usually.
I did decide to pull one of the books down anyway and an elder told me that "you should be listening to what Jehovah has now, not looking at old light." My hall did not have the Finished Mystery or the millions book.

that elder was an ignorant insecure idiot, the watchtower even encourages looking at the older publications, theres a n article in the fifties, you can use the societys words against themselves, as a matter of fact, if you call Bethel, as one did, he said he was told it was apostate to look at any of the old material, and they said theres nothing wrong with looking at our history (obviously they hadnt).

…Their zeal for knowledge may even prompt them to dig back into things that were published long before they came into the truth, expanding and deepening their understanding, and ever growing in Christian maturity. Do you dig into our older publications to expand and deepen your knowledge on subjects about which questions arise? Have you really studied these earlier publications? For you will find, indeed, that you do not and that you will be strengthened by your additional study...once you have completed your study of them you can then look to even older publications. Only by studying earlier publications and digging back through previous issues of The Watchtower kept in the library at your local Kingdom Hall. There is much in the way of spiritual riches and aid toward mature knowledge in these earlier publications, and their study is most certainly worth your time.

I've also wondered why members join, yet never post. I would think that if one hasn't posted in 6 months or a year, either they never intended to post or they're deceased. I don't see why PC can't expunge an unused account after 6-12 months and have the user rejoin if they wish to participate.
Just curious, since it was brought up.

I very rarely post and yet I enjoy coming here and reading what others have to say or accounts of their experiences.
Maybe I will find my voice, I'm still processing a lot. I certainly wouldn't want my account de-activated through lack of posting.
