Good afternoon all ...
I have been meditating on this verse in God's Word and it has given me such pleasure and reassurance that I thought I would try to put to keyboard my feelings into words ... :post:
One of the things that our Lord and Savior did when he walked upon the earth was to try to get the people then, and by extension us today, to really to know and believe just how CLOSE our heavenly Father wants to be to us ... as one ... and just how MUCH he truly loves us and care about us and is interested in us ...
One of the illustrations Jesus used to get us to picture in our minds and hearts to show us this is the Scripture at Matt. 10:30 ...
(Darby) but of you even the hairs of the head are all numbered.
Now WHY should this bring us comfort or reassurance in knowing our God is DAILY concerned with us ... EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US ...?
Well, it has been estimated by some that EVERYDAY we lose from 80 to 120 hairs from our heads ...
Now, since that number would vary from day to day ... and that each person wouldn't lose the same amount as someone else ... (thus being a cooker-cutter or one-size fits all kind of statistic) can we not begin to see just how CLOSELY our Father must be taking note of us ...? That he is TRULY interested in us 'specks of dust' or 'grasshoppers' down here on this beautiful planet-home he gave to us!!!!:cheer::cheer:
Our God is truly WITH us each and everyday ... watching over us ... protecting us ... giving us life ... watching our deeds ... LOVING us ... :heartbeat:
Hopefully that is something that we will never forget during dark and scary and lonely times ... hopefully that is something that will bring us comfort and security in seemingly hopeless situations ... hopefully that will make us feel like the precious and dearly loved 'children' that we are ...!! :hug:
Hopefully these thoughts have made you feel like me ... thankful and closer to our Father in the heavens above and abiding in our hearts now and always ... :friends::heartbeat:
