Good evening all ... :D:hibye:
Well, we just got back from a lovely day in the creation of our heavenly Father, good food, and tasty food ...! :thumbsup:
And to top of the ending of the day together was going to down to the frozen lake and listening to it sing ... :whistle: or hear its 'belly rumble' ... :shocked: depending on how you look at it I suppose ...;) I could have I heard Shrek's cheerful voice at one point ... :D:P:siskiss:
I wish you all could have been with us to share in fellowship and a building of memories, family, and love ... but that day will come never fear ... :giverose: :thumbsup: :friends::grouphug:
Now enough reminiscing on with the text for today which is from Heb. 4:13 ...
All things are naked and openly exposed to the eyes of him with whom we have an accounting.
Watchtower comments ...
''If we are ever tempted to distort the truth in an attempt to make people think well of us may the story of Ananias and Sapphira stand as a sober reminder. (Acts. 5:1-10) We might be able to deceive fellow humans, but we cannot fool Jehovah. Time and again the Scriptures exhort us to be honest with one another, for liars will have no place in an earth swept clean of unrighteousness. (Prov. 14:2; Rev. 21:8; 22:15) The reason for that should be clear. The promoter of all untruth is none other than Satan the Devil. (John 8:44) Making honesty our way of life brings numerous benefits. Among them are a clean conscience and the satisfaction of being trusted by others. In many cases, because they were honest Christians have obtained employment or have kept their jobs. Above all, honesty wins us the friendship of Almighty God.--Ps. 15:1,2 w6/15/06 11,12
My thought ...
ALL the things that we think, say and do are exposed to our heavenly Father ... he knows all about us ... and since this is so we have nothing to fear from going to Him about anything and for anything ... and the good thing is that since he is already interested in what we are doing or not doing ... that can make it a wee bit easier for us to talk to Him wouldn't you say ...?;):whistle: :pray:
All Jehovah expects of us it to do our best in serving Him in HONESTY, without a false front ... (in a white washed grave, or clean cup kind of way) or in other words perhaps without hypocrisy ...
Prov. 14:2 ...
(CEV) By living right, you show that you respect the LORD; by being deceitful, you show that you despise him.
David wrote a beautiful Psalm in Psalms 15:1-5 to help us to know the kind of person that Jehovah is looking for in his worshippers ... and the kind of person we are all here striving to be ...
(BBE) 1 A Psalm. Of David. Lord, who may have a resting-place in your tent, a living-place on your holy hill?
2 He who goes on his way uprightly, doing righteousness, and saying what is true in his heart;
3 Whose tongue is not false, who does no evil to his friend, and does not take away the good name of his neighbour;
4 Who gives honour to those who have the fear of the Lord, turning away from him who has not the Lord's approval. He who takes an oath against himself, and makes no change.
5 He who does not put out his money at interest, or for payment give false decisions against men who have done no wrong. He who does these things will never be moved.
Yes, by doing our best to be found clean and loyal and honest in the coming day of judgment we can be secure in the fact that we will richly blessed with a permanent and beautiful reward ...
Not only will we have everlasting life in peace and happiness on a beautified earth ...
But we will have an EVERLASTING RELATIONSHIP with our HEAVENLY FATHER and HIS SON, CHRIST JESUS!!
How AWESOME is that thought!!!!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cheer::cheer:
So, may we prove ourselves faithful to the end ... a workman with nothing to be ashamed of ... proving we are walking by LIGHT and not by DARKNESS ... thus being drawn to and by the Father of Cestial Lights for now and onto all eternity ... :heartbeat:
Well, since I am a wee bit tired I hope ya'll will excuse if my comments are not quite in harmony with the text or off a bit ... I tried though ... although I'm sure a word from iso and others would be good to hear as well ... don't you ... ;):P
A bit of brat ... but with a loving heart for all my brattiness BR :sheepy: :bouncyhearts:
