Well I did it again ... lost it all ...:angry::funnyface:

Oh well back to the drawing board ... :post::giverose:

Scripture text ...

Prov. 15:22 ...

There is a frustrating of plans where there is no confidential talk.

Watchtower comments (which I will make 'no' comment on ...)

''Shepherds promote joy and peace in the congregation by being good communicators. When problems threaten the peace of the congregation, they meet together and openly express their feelings. They respectfully listen to their fellow shepherds' comments. (Prov. 13:10; 18:13) After praying for holy spirit, they base their decisions on Bible principles and on guidelines published by ''the faithful and discreet slave.'' (Matt. 24:45-47; I Cor. 4:6) Once a Scripturally sound decision has been made by the body of elders, each elder yields to the direction of holy spirit by supporting that decision even if his personal opinion was not endorsed by the majority. Such modesty promoted joy and peace and sets a fine example for the sheep in how to walk with God. (Mic. 6:8) Are you modestly cooperating with the Bible-based decisions made by the shepherds in the congregation? w 5/1/06 10,11

My thoughts ...

(BBE) Where there are no wise suggestions, purposes come to nothing; but by a number of wise guides they are made certain.

(CEV) Without good advice everything goes wrong-- it takes careful planning for things to go right.

That is what I see happening with our board here ... there are many counsellors :grouphug: with insights on various topics that lead to some beautiful conclusions and faith strengthening truths ...

What helps this to be so and continue to be so ...?

Perhaps thinking on the wise words at Prov. 13:10 ... :read:

(ASV) By pride cometh only contention; But with the well-advised is wisdom.

(CEV) Too much pride causes trouble. Be sensible and take advice.

(DRB) Among the proud there are always contentions: but they that do all things with counsel, are ruled by wisdom.

Prov. 18:13
...

(BBE) To give an answer before hearing is a foolish thing and a cause of shame.

(ESV) If one gives an answer before he hears, it is his folly and shame.

How many times have each of us said ...

IF ONLY ...

If only I hadn't said that ...
If only I had listened in the first place ...
If only I had bitten my tongue ...
If only I had it all to do over again ...

Yes, ... if only ...

What will help us to keep those 'if onlys' to a minimum ...

Perhaps reflecting on Paul's words at Rom. 12:3 ...

(ASV) For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think as to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to each man a measure of faith.

(BBE) But I say to every one of you, through the grace given to me, not to have an over-high opinion of himself, but to have wise thoughts, as God has given to every one a measure of faith.

Yes, let us seek to be HUMBLE ... let us remember that EVERYONE has something good to offer along our walk of faith leading to everlasting life, for EVERYONE has been given a 'measure of faith' if they so choose to take advantage of it and learn and grow from it ...

Yes, let 'iron sharpen iron' ... the 'sparks' that come from it can and will ignite in us a deeper understanding and warmer love for God, truth and each other ...

Soooo now it is someone else's turn to add to the 'multitude of counsellors' to help us along the 'way to life' as we seek to grow wise in the ways of God!

Luv to ya'll ... BR :sheepy: :bouncyhearts:
BR,
