Hi everyone,:D

It seems that my previous thread turned into just uproar. I hope this is not going to take the same road. I always try to make my point clear so I can convey without sending mixed messages. So I ask everyone to understand my point instead how I am not tactful or judging and so on. thank you.:)

Jesus wants all of us, including non-believers to learn and excercize kindness to everyone. None of us are not nearly as good as Jesus as teachers or preachers. He teaches us how to survive in every situation even when we don't have anything!

I know some Christians are helping the needy without giving them New Testament. Giving out the material is temporary but Jesus teachings last forever and the cost of New Testament is so little.

When I was helping the organizations' ministry, I asked them to use it for New Testamensts to give out; I know it is a fact that in some countries, not even believers don't own the Bible. It is just too bad that we are forgetting the importance of Jesus' teachings. YHWH wants us to avoid committing sin at all cost even though it is impossible. But He is expecting for us to do our best to avoid it. Without Jesus' teachings we have no hope of improving much. Jesus tells us to love everyone; it sounds easy but is not as we are inheriting sinful nature.

I would like to take questions if I my message is not clear but please refrain from preaching to me; I know I am not perfect but I believe I have right and previledge to speak my convictions for the Lord as everyone else, too. I am just using this forum to do it and it is not aimed at just for this forum members. My convictions are for people who have listening ears and open to others view, noone is being forced to read it.

sincerely, hitomi
I would like to add that JWs are not spreading the New Testaments. They are only propagating their own organization by spreading their own publication. They use their own publication to study the Bible and other organizations are doing the same.

And one more thing,:)

Many of you stating both clearly and vaguely that how I am judgemental and I understand how you feel and respect it. But you don't have to harp on every time when you don't like my comments or threads. Like I said you don't have to read or respond to any posts including mine, as you know.

I will not respond to any kind of repetitious criticizm about me either subtle ones or clear ones. But I will take any kind of questions about my comments.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.:)

Hi there joyful ... :D:hibye:

Just had a quick thought ... real busy today ... but didn't want you to think no one was interested in your thoughts ...

Since you explained that you wanted to put up thread to help the 'lurkers' out there get more into their Bibles to read and come to know the commands and principles Jesus wanted us to live by and how it can make us better people ...

Is there any particular message that you want them to focus on ...? Any particular Scripture perhaps ...?

Pretend I am a 'lurker' ... ;) and you want to tell me something to help me begin to read the Bible and apply it ... what would you say to me ...?

(hopefully this be a help to you in spreading interest in the new testament message)

For spreading the good news is something ALL of us here want to do!!:read::cheer:

Much Christian love to you hitomi ... BR :sheepy: :bouncyhearts:
Most who come here are reading the Bible. why restart a thread that you know is going to start a conflict. How loving is that? There are many out there, if your heart is in the right place, to teach about Jesus to. This is proving to be what it is , a game of power , whose the boss thing.
Here we go again starting the sarcasm. I am doing it because I seem to be missing my whole point and didn't want to use my old thread because it is just one big mess. As usual, you are all welcome to ignore if you don't like or you think I am being unloving. Your opinion of me is respected.

BR, if you have question about my thread, please make it clear. I just don't understand indirect point. I don't mean to be rude and that is not my intention, but your posts are too vague for me. I appreciate it if you speak plainly to me, if you have something to say.

thanks again.
Joyful,

It seems you are "preaching to the choir" on this site telling people to read their bibles. We all do.

I have deep respect for your work in getting the bible into the hands of people. That is good. I just dont understand exactly what you want from us here.

Are you saying we should be out knocking on doors again? If so, no thanks. The best preaching we can do for Jesus is by our example. If someone sees that you have love and a measure of peace, they want to know where you found it.

All of my friends that I see on a regular basis (only one has a JW background) know of my faith and respect me for it. They ask me questions all the time, and I do my best to answer. It gives them food for thought.

My hubby used to wear me out with questions! He went from atheist to agnostic. I call that progress. Now he actually says he believes in God, just doesnt understand Him at all. I was like, join the club. :cheer:

I've rambled enough.

I am sure any lurkers here read the Bible also or they would not be here looking. You are being very offensive and demeaning to the members and lurkers here and you know it!!! Trying to pretend you are the only one reading and understanding the Bible out of all of us. You have a personality problem, a big one. you are not a judge, Jesus is. If you believe in Jesus you must know He will see to it ALL get a Bible and the understanding He wants them to have. You need to get to the ones who have no knowledge.
What are you trying to do here? Be a leader , a judge? what? You need to pray for quidance as you are on a fateful path of creating hatred.
We walk with love here , not on eggshells. You my dear, is the one who needs to read the Bible. Jesus did not go at it like He was killing snakes.

Im sure no one else had trouble understanding BRs response. We all need to pray for you.

Good job, Jon.

I have no trouble understanding anything that Sis BR writes. Also, I do not nit pick my brothers and sisters. We are all in a different place on a difficult journey.

It's not a language problem, either. We are pretty scattered in terms of physical addresses and there are not very many misunderstandings.

That kind of persecution complex would only come from the Witnesses, or some other completely fundamental wacky religion.
Hi wasblind and jon,

I respect your opinion. good day.

Love, hitomi
HI there joyful ...

It's late and I'm tired but I just wanted you to know that I wasn't being deliberately 'vague' with you ...

I thought I was helping you to start some dialog on which Scripture(s) you might wish to talk about or have those 'lurkers' to read ... :read::giverose:

I guess you just didn't understand me ...:dontknow: sorry for that ...

In plain speaking then ... :D

Your thread says you want to 'spread the new testament' ...:read:

Which particular Scriptures in the new testament are you wanting to share ...? :read:

To me ... it is 'vague' not give someone something to read ... :dontknow:

Perhaps you could cite a Scripture that gave you comfort and hope ...?
Which Scripture was it that caused your heart to be moved to serve our Lord in love and truth and spirit ...?

Maybe knowing what motivated you will help to motivate others ... or at least arouse their curiosity to want to know more ...? :heartbeat:

Just some thoughts ... :giverose:

I hope it is 'plain' enough ...

Christian love ... BR :sheepy: :bouncyhearts:

thank you BR, I always pick out only one point at a time to make point clear to avoid confusion; I deal one at a time. So I picked this one this time.

I am talking about spreading the actual New Testament: books. You see, Jesus messages are not just only a few things. We don't get full meaning of YHWH and Jesus without reading the whole New Testament or we will misrepresent Jesus. I don't just share only a few Scriptures. I tell people to read the NT thoroughly repeatedly on a daily basis and it is the most valuable book in the whole world.

Of course, we should read the whole Bible but for new and young people, I always encourage them to start out with New Testament.

love, hitomi

Hitomi,

I agree. Everyone ought to be reading the New Testament...and try to do it everyday. Sometimes I start with Matthew and read sequentially. I especially appreciate Jesus' own words in the Gospels. After a few weeks, I get into Luke's "Acts of the Apostles," then Paul's writings, followed by the writings of other disciples and apostles. Sometimes I choose to read by subject matter, using cross-references that at times delve into the Old Testament. Sometimes I find a point of interest in the OT alone.

I would hope that everyone agrees; it is good to read the Bible.

Hello hitomi ...

Today is another very busy day for me ...

But I wanted to check in and noticed your response to me ... :post:

So, in trying to understand the way you do your ministry ...

You leave Bibles with people :read: and encourage them to read all of it ... :coffeeread:particularly focusing in on the new testament of course ... ;)

I'm pretty sure you didn't mean to read the 'whole thing' on a 'everyday' ... :read:;) just perhaps what they can ... :D ;) (that is a gentle joke)

But what do you do if someone has a question about a particular verse that they read ...? :dontknow:

I know for myself when I run across something that I want to dig deeper in, it takes me all over the Bible ... :giverose:

But since I happen to love to do that and have a good background and some wonderful tools to help me research it is easiER (not easy) for me ... what if someone doesn't have this kind of background or tools ...?

That is why I used the Philip and the Ethiopian Eunuch as an example of people just having the Bible and READING IT may not always be enough for them ...:thinking:

Since you believe that a lot of religions out there teach 'false teachings and doctrine' ... do you try to explain to them the 'correct' way to the best of your ability ...? :coffeeread:

Or do you view what you do as just scattering the 'seed' ...?

I am truly trying to understand you and your mind set ... for in understanding can come a feeling of true brotherhood :grouphug:and peace :peace: and harmony :friends: ... which I think you will agree we all want to have with as many as possible ... :cheer:
