The new Watchtower site JW.org would be available on January 1st, 2008 to allow JW's to download the Watchtower and Awake mags in MP3 and AAC (itune format) as well as other publications.They are requesting that if we (JW's) download them,then we need to cease receiving the CDs.A letter regarding this was read recently at the service meeting.

I don't want them to have my IP address. I'll pass and just keep letting my mom bring me one. Hey, she hasn't brought me one in a couple of months. I guess there hasn't been one she thinks I need, or they told her to stop after my last "sheparding call".
i've wondered for awhile why the wto hasnt made better use of the internet and computers for distributing the magazines - they would be able to operate on a much smaller scale at the headquarters - and all the farmers, builders, printers, maids, car repairers etc., etc., could all be out witnessing!
With the planets resources being depleted day by day - i wonder if the gb has any concerns over all the paper usage - i know many mags that people take at the doors get chucked in the bin - the message can be still taken to the doors using the bible - i wonder if Jesus and his disciples took copies of the hebrew scriptures with them when they preached?

The society are actually paper waste aware. I know they use a forest of their own in norway or somewhere for making paper. Itll be cool to see more stuff to download in future but I dont think theyll completely cut out the printingasmuch of the world dont have access to computers
