I am afraid that I will be called judging again. But I would like to make my point more clear.
It is very obvious to me that the organized churches are not enouraging their people to read the Bible. I say this because most organized churches are supporting the military and many of them join it.
Joining the military is a grave sin against Jesus' teaching of "love your enemy". Jesus teching of "love your enemy" is utmost noble teaching and without this teaching His teaching is no different from any other religion. If church attenders are reading the New Testament they should know that Jesus' followers can't serve God joining the military. We cannot love our enemy by killing them!

Dear Joyful :hibye:
Of course no one is going to judge you for encouraging people to read their Bibles. You are preaching to the choir here as everyone is deeply involved with their Bible every day--I encourage people to read their Bibles also--one of my favorite things in the whole world is to read the Bible out loud (especially to my little grandchildren) and I am especially fond of having it read to me for some reason. There are many aspects to being a Christian--Bible reading being one of them. Jesus performs a great work on our heart and changes us from the inside out---If everything we do is from genuine love and wanting to share our own love of Christ with others then whatever we do is part of our Christian walk because no matter where you go--there he is....:friends:

Wolfy,
This thread is about the reason behind my actions. Forums are not just for members. There are many people reading the forums; they are called lurkers. thank you

i feel ok about making judgements on religious organizations - sometimes i watch a "christen" program on television - and have learned some interesting perspectives on the scriptures - but what often comes up on the "christen" channel is an interview with an ex pilot fighter describing his killing campains for the USA government with the belief that what he was doing was God's will - and the pastor who is interviewing him is commending him for his "fine work" - i really find that offensive and turn it off - as for judging that ex-pilots salvation by Jehovah and Jesus is not up to me - maybe somewhere down the track of time he may view his actons differently and regret what he did - I would still show him love but would also express my biblical views on war to him
i presume that attitude of participating in war would be very common in the churchs - thats why i have made that judgement and avoided them my whole life
hi billi,
thank you for your perspective of your judgement. However please reread my posts. All I am doing is to protest about what organizations are doing as a whole. I don't make judgements on each individuals. The Bible tells us not to do anything with fruitless deed of darkness. How can we not to do anything if we don't know what they are doing??? I just became believer almost nine years ago and had to make decision which church to attend and searched fervantly. It is a long story, but in a nut shell, I came to conclusion that organized churches are corrupt, including JWs. I am only protesting my findings as Jesus' servant. The Bible tells us to expose the evil deeds of darkness. I just hope everyone to stop accusing people who are exposing what they found out and expressing their opinions. If they are not telling the truth, God will take care of them and not enyone else. What you guys are not realizing is that you are making judgement on me and it is personal attack. I am not just sitting around criticizing people, I am doing my responsibility too.
thank you,
In Jesus' love, hitomi
Hitomi, I think it's absolutely wonderful that you are encouraging others to read the bible! :cheer:
It reminds me of the last time I went "Out in Service" before my disfellowshipping three years ago: I no longer agreed with the JW literature, so instead I took some bibles with me and went door to door encouraging people to read the bible. My car group thought it was strange for me to be doing that instead of offering the Watchtower magazine, but still I was happy with my choice to place bibles instead. :)
Keep at it, and don't give up!:bouncyhearts:
Love,
Tami

thank you tami,
I talked to one of the JW elders in Okinawa that I am handing out the New Testament and told him I am dissapointed that JWs are not spreading New Testament and all they are doing is propagate their own organization with their publication.
