I feel so free since I became follower of Jesus; I don't have to worry about all traditions that man made, no worry of food and clothes, no worry being in predicaments because everyting I get is for my benefit.

However, I feel we are abusing this freedome coming from YHWH and Jesus and neglecting to spread it to the world who don't know them. Even so-called Jesus' followers are not showing much gratitude with their action after they become believers. In America, most people own the Bible but Christians don't seem to know much of what's in it. In Okinawa, Japan, most of them don't even know about the Bible, YHWH, or Jesus, even though there are many American and Okinawan churches there.

It is about time we realize our responsiblity according to what is going on in the Christian community.

Jesus' servant, hitomi
I would like to add that spreading Jesus is not only showing our gratitude for what He has done but also our direct responisbilty from our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus tells us to teach the world to obey everything He commanded us.

You are right, Hitomi, it is our responsibility to preach about Jesus. This can be done in so many ways, can't it?Some do this by living good Christian lives and display to others Christlike qualities. Others, like yourself, go out and preach it publicly as well, and others speak about their beliefs when the situation gives rise.Again, others do it on the internet, writing out their thoughts and beliefs so that others can see and come to an understanding of God.It isn't always easy, is it? I believe, when the time comes, those who know much or little regarding Jesus and his Father, will all make a firm stand for them. This may involve even dying for those beliefs.Jehovah knows the heart, and will judge all mankind with the greatest mercy, compassion and with love. After all, He sent His only begotten son down to earth to die for us all, because He loved the world so much!:heartbeat:
Agape to you,
Sis Grateful :giverose:
Hi there hitomi! :hibye::D

Yes ... freedom is a BEAUTIFUL thing isn't it!! :rose: :cheer: :flyinghigh:

I love your comments as well sis grateful ... for they remind me of the 'body of Christ' ...

Just as the body as various parts and capabilities and gifts ... so too does the beautiful body of Christians ...

Each has something beautiful to offer and a their own special and unique way of offering it ...

Some are more overt while others more subtle ... some more serious while others inject humor ... some do so materially ... while others help out emotionally ... others offer gifts of mercy ... while others show mercy ... and so on and so on ...

Whatever way we choose to show and use our 'freedom' ... let us do it to the extent we can ... not only of compulsion or a sense of guilt because someone tells us we must ... but, like our Lord and exemplar (who followed in his Father's ways) let us do so because we WANT to ... no matter how much or how little ... for it doesn't matter in the eyes of our God does it ... just as long as it comes from a loving and giving heart and is the best we can do according to our 'gifts' and 'circumstances' ...

Yes, let us praise Jah in the heights ... let us proclaim the kingdom good news ... and let us walk as Christ taught us to walk ...

Thanks for the reminder hitomi ... I am sure that we are all doing what we can ... when we can ...

Luv as always ... BR :sheepy: :bouncyhearts:
Jesus says that harvest is plentiful but workers are few. I can feel this truth whenever I go back to Okinawa. Those precious little ones are eager to listen about Jesus and New Testaments but not too many are offering to them with the explanation.

I cannot show with good example with my life because I am so goofy and imperfect. I let Jesus' word to teach them. The New Testament is excellent book to spread what Jesus has to say.

What about "looking after orphans and widows in their tribulation"?

What about giving to the poor?

I feel that this part of the ministry is more neglected by Christians, hitomi.

There are plenty of preachers and teachers but not enough humanitarians.

I believe many non-believers are doing better than Christians in this department.

They are preaching their own denominations and theologies and not Jesus IMHO. They are too busy advertizing their churches.

And some do it from the heart!:heartbeat:Only Jehovah can read those, can't He?:heartbeat:

what is your point grateful?

I brought up this subject because I don't see many people who are reading the Bible on a daily basis or know Jesus even though there are many, many churches and Christians. I have been evangelizing for 8 years and asking around questions also. I have met quite a few in my christian life.

good for you:)

Yannis and grateful,

I am sorry if my comments offend you. I believe what is going on in the Christian community is serious and this is my overall obsevation. If I am exaggerating, I know very well that I am in deep trouble with the Lord. We will be judged according to what we say and do. I just speak what I am compelled to do so.

I also would like to add that corrupt organized churches are flourishing because Christians are not paying attention to what is going on in the churches and not doing anything about it. There are things we can do to not cooperate with this kind of disgrace. If we pretend everything is ok, we are making satan happy and not Jesus, IMHO.

Hi there sis joyful ... :hibye:

Just a thought I had to perhaps ease your heart and mind ... :giverose:

Of course each of us must do our part ... that is our Christian obligation to man as well as to God and Christ ...

One thing I have come to realize over the years is that many indeed DO read their Bibles ... hopefully planting some seeds in their hearts along the way ... as well as us who hopefully also take the opportunity to plants seeds of Christianity whenever we can ... be it in actual 'preaching the gospel' ... or by our 'Christian conduct and speech' ...

One Scripture to help us keep what WE do in perspective is perhaps Paul's words at 1Cor. 3:7 ...

(ASV) So then neither is he that planteth anything, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

(BBE) So then the planter is nothing, and the waterer is nothing; but God who gives the increase.

(CEV) What matters isn't those who planted or watered, but God who made the plants grow.

Yes, WE MUST TRUST IN OUR GOD to open hearts ... to make seeds grow ... and when the 'harvest is truly ripe and the seed at it best' ... then I think we will see that 'great crowd' of fellow Christians appear and rejoice in their numbers and fellowship!! :grouphug:

In the meantime ... let us have patience and conviction and diligence and water and plant where and when we can ... not comparing what we do with others ... but keeping an eye on ourselves and what we do ... knowing that soon the reaping will bring in a HUGE harvest ... the largest ever!!:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Luv :happyheart: and peace :peace: to you hitomi ... BR :sheepy: :bouncyhearts:
Most Christians don't read their bibles on a regular basis.
Plants need to be planted to sprout, and water to grow. The waterer is nothing, and the planter is nothing, but without them you have no plant.

WE have to be willing to do our part, too.
