Well, I just got in ... pant pant ... from taking the kids out grocery shopping, had a quick drink of orange juice for rejuvenation ... and here I am all ready to sit down with ya'll and share some nice good spiritual food with the text for today ... :read:
So here we go ... Ex. 12:22 ...
None of you should go out of the entrance of his house until morning.

''In the tenth plague upon Egypt in Moses' day, the firstborn of the Egyptians were killed, but those of the Israelites were spared. Why? Jehovah had given the Israelites instructions for survival, which included the words in todays text. (Ex. 12:7) Which firstborn among the Israelites would have dared to ignore such God-given instructions by by going outside a house marked with the blood splashed on the two doorposts and the upper part of the doorway? We therefore have reason to think carefully about our personal situation. Are we actually inside Jehovah's arrangement of spiritual protection? When the great tribulation strikes, tears of joy and thankfulness will stream down the faces of those who have sought such protection. For others, there will be only tears of sorrow and regret. w5/15/06 11,12

Well, surely after the first 9 plagues the Israelites should have had no doubts as to Jehovah being the true God and more powerful than all the other gods in Egypt ... and it seems so to felt a VAST MIXED MULTITUDE of others BESIDES the Israelites ... those who must have also followed the command that Jehovah God has stated ...
(BBE) And take some hyssop and put it in the blood in the basin, touching the two sides and the top of the doorway with the blood from the basin; and let not one of you go out of his house till the morning.
There was INDESPUTABLE PROOF that Jehovah was the ONLY TRUE GOD and the ONLY ONE in whom to put trust and faith for salvation and hope!
Isn't that what ... as least to me anyway ... was one of the purposes of the 10 plagues in the first place ... not only to show who WAS GOD ... but also to SAVE AS MANY AS POSSIBLE ... :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:
Can we not just imagine the JOY and as well as the SURPRISE that the Israelites must have felt to see SO MANY added to their numbers ...:thumbsup: :bouncy:
What about for us today ...
When things happen in the future so that people today, as did the Egyptians and other nations living there, HAVE TO KNOW THAT JEHOVAH IS THE ONLY TRUE GOD ... will they too not join with others who have already realized that joyous and faith strengthening reality ... hence we have the 'great crowd' ... (just like that vast mixed company) joining in walking safely through disaster in a modern day 'promised land' ... that beautiful new system of things for which we so greatly yearn ... :rose:
Is it an 'organization' that will 'save us' ...? Was it an 'organization' that saved the Israelites back then ...?
They were in 'hard shape' prior to leaving Egypt were they not ...?
Were they not SLAVES ... were they not worked literally to death ... were they not mistreated ... were they not in sore straits coming to even doubt that God was still interested in them ...?
Perhaps it will be so with us today ... perhaps we to as 'Christians' will be in hard times ... be mistreated ... and perhaps some will begin to even doubt in Christ and God's interest in us ... (did not our Lord ask if he would find the faith on earth when he returned ... :( )
But, just as those who had not given up in their deepest of hearts ... and those who might have been almost extinguished found new life and hope when they saw the PROOF before their eyes ... so to today ... at least that is how I feel ... such proofs will come again ... proof to PROOF BEYOND A DOUBT that Jehovah is still with us and his Son as well ... and we will find our tired feet mount up like wings ... and hearts weighed down leap with joy and gladness and hope ...
Won't there truly be perilous  as well as wonderful and exciting times for us to go through  ... for us to be refined and beautified as honorable vessels, :giverose: one that will be used for a useful and good purpose ... :heartbeat:
So, whatever we are asked to do by our God and his Son, may we do so no matter what ... for whatever our God asks of us is always for a purpose and with awesome results at the end ...
Well, not sure if my tired fingers and brain made any sense ... but there ya have it ... ;):P:whistle:
Luv to ya'll ... BR :sheepy: :bouncyhearts:
