Hi all ... :hibye::D

I just wanted ya'll to know that one of our dearest treasures here :present: woofette :wolfsmile: is feeling down right now ...:(:shocked: and could use some prayers :pray: and encouraging thoughts and well wishes ... :hug::cheekkiss:

She had a wisdom tooth pulled :shocked: and is in a lot of pain right now ...

I KNOW how ya feel sis ... I had FOUR pulled at the same time ... couldn't talk for over a week my face was so swollen ... :shocked: :quiet:

I just wish that I had a 'keyboard' :post: to do my talking for me back then ...

Hopefully when you are feeling better you share some of words of wisdom, love and encouragement ...

In the meantime ... WE are sending some to YOU

Rev. 21:4 ...

4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Now I am using the 'PRINCIPLE' or 'spirit' of this verse to say ... ;):whistle:

Since we won't have to worry about 'problem teeth' and such ... we CAN surely say that 'toothaches' and such will be a THING OF PAST ... and so indeed that kind of 'pain' will be NO MORE ... :cheer::cheer::cheer:

Hope that gives you something to 'chew' on ... :eat:

Oops forgot ... ;):whistle::siskiss:

You probably won't be doing any 'chewing' for a wee while yet ... :P

Your bratty ...:P but everluvin' sis :siskiss: ... BR :sheepy: :bouncyhearts:
Aw, shucks, Wolfie! What we gonna do without your wisdom?

Not to worry. Gargle a lot. Take some Ibuprofen. You'll be good as new before you know it!

I'm one of the very few who has been "endowed" with a mouth big enough to accommodate wisdom teeth. I've often wondered why we'd get teeth without a garage big enough to put them in (maybe I should ask Firpo Carr?). ANYWAY....get your rest, Wolfie...and "see" you soon!

Wolfie I hope you feel better. Wisdom teeth are such a nuisance. I had one of mine removed this summer and I am still suffering the after effects!

My advice, stay away from hot/warm food. Sometimes the heat from the food/liquids postpones the healing of the wound.

Eat soft foods and liquids only during the first 24 hrs. If you can last two days, the better.

If my the third day, the swelling gets bigger or your mouth feels worse, go to a dentist, the wounds is not healing.

And plenty of rest.

Love ya,:heartbeat:

I had a horrible experience with mine at the VA Hospital - a place that you get a second chance to give your life for your country. Sat in the chair and the dentist hands me a thing that looked like a nail punch and said, "Here, hold this," and then proceeded to hit it with a hammer. He only did one side and I had to drive 40 miles home. I don't remember the last 10 miles as the novacaine wore off. AFter that the only thing that sort of killed the pain was about 2 aspirin and 2 ounces of vodka every hour for 2 days. Then there was the swelling and the bone chips that followed. I looked like a drowning victim and lived on DQ strawberry shakes for a week :funnyface: The other side wasn't near as bad, but I've had a very healthy respect for the practice of dentistry and the VA ever since.
The wolf went to the dentist and sat down in the chair ,
and the dentist said "Now tell me, sir ,
Why does it hurt and where?"
And the wolf said "I'll tell you the truth, I have a terrible ache in my tooth."
And he opened his jaws so wide, so wide,
The dentist, he climbed right inside.
And the dentist laughed, "Oh isn't this fun?"
As he pulled each tooth out one by one.
And the wolf cried "You're hurting me so!
Please put down your pliers and let me go."
But the dentist just laughed with a ho ho ho,
And said " I stll have 12 to go- Oops, that's the wrong one, I confess,
But what's one wolf's tooth more less?"
Then suddenly the jaws went SNAP,
And the dentist was gone right off the map,
and where he went only one could guess...
to North or South or East or west...
He left no forwarding address.
But what's one dentist more less.

wolfie - hope you're back to your great "bite" soon!

Wolfie Sis~
I remember the pain......was over 20years ago tho.
Had my bottle of Tylenol with Codine....
My sister brought over some movies for me to watch as I lay on the couch doped up and in minor pain.....the pills were working.
First time I ever watched 'Gone With The Wind' in it's entirety.
Wisdom teeth and Gone with the Wind......those are my memories.
ahh thanks guys :love: I feel better from your words :love: and Bruny--that is too cute :cheekkiss: after an hour in the chair I felt that way too except I was hoping not to burst into tears. I had a vision of a gentle procedure where I had a tooth gently/ easily pulled out--:funnyface: ummm--not to be. this tooth wasn't going without a fight and the first thing it did was break off--then the Dr. and his Two assistants cut it out in pieces and apparently left some behind as bone fragments are working their way through as we speak. I can't believe the wound it feels like it is but I am hoping over the next few days to be in good repair :thinking: Tylenol is my best friend too at the moment...thanks for the cheer up friends--you have totally warmed my heart. You guys are the best..:cheekkiss::grouphug::heartbeat:
My dear Sister;
I am so sorry to hear about your ordeal and pain :cry::cry:. It saddens me when anyone has to go through any type of pain. I will be praying for you my dear friend that you have a speedy and complete recover. Please take care and know that you are truly loved :hug::hug::hug:.

Agape,
Sister LoveJehovah :heartbeat::heartbeat:
She awoke while in the dentist's chair. Said the Dentist with a serious look, "I have some good news and bad news."

"Oh please give me the bad news first," she begged. "For surely I will need something to pacify this terrible pain."

"We inadvertantly extracted the wrong tooth," he replied sadly before his eyes brightened to add cheerfully, "But the good news is—the bad tooth? It has vastly improved and needn't be extracted after all!"

Even bad news is someone's good news. :gotodoc: May you have a full recovery, dear Wolfie

Love :heartbeat:

this is so funny Smoldering as the dentist was talking up a storm while he was slicing and dicing :shocked: and he told me about a college friend of his who needed a tooth pulled and couldn't wait for a Real dentist and got ''liquored'' up and pulled his own (cannot Begin to imagine that :shocked: ) but the next morning he discovered he'd pulled the wrong tooth :rant: ..then again maybe my dentist thought it would bring a light moment to an otherwise quite serious situation...:grouphug: I can't imagine those who have had all four wisdom teeth taken out at once--Yikes!!! :grouphug: thanks so much for the sympathy friends--woofie loves you :heartbeat:
I had my four pulled all at once as well in the late 60s or early 70s...tylenol WITH CODEINE was my best friend for most of the following week...I looked like I had the mumps...again!!

I feel for you Wolfie...hold on...this too shall pass and become just a drop in the bucket of your life!!

Love ya, Heather
Oh dear! I shouldn't have read this thread as I need to make an appointment with a dentist... :fear:

Loved the poems - very amusing!

Hope you feel better soon Wolfie :hug:

Mx

PS: I think I am going to ask for full sedation... even for a measly filling! :D
full sedation is a Good thing Martha :thumbup: I have only ever had one other tooth pulled and was sleeping through it--much easier...this was an ordeal and it seems like a never ending one. I was in such Pain all week-end and just got back Again from the dentist with a 'dry socket' :shocked: and infection so woffie is Not very happy right now :( but this too shall pass--won't it--it will it will won't it?????:love::friends:
:shocked: Oh dear wolfie! I was scarce this weekend and just saw this - I SO hope you're feeling better. :cheekkiss::friends: My mom had a 'dry socket' in a front lower tooth she had puled - oh boy, what a terrible thing it was then!:crybaby: I can only hope and pray, for your sake, that treatment for it has improved in so many years.

I had all of my wisdom teeth cut out when I was in my mid-20's - might be why I was so un-wise in my late 20's? lol :redface: Went to the hospital and was fully sedated, then sent home with Darvocette, which made me dizzy and sick to my stomach is about all.

I now have a good and gentle dentist who is everso cautious about the pain he might inflict- love 'im!

Well darlin', I will keep you close in my thoughts and prayers.:pray: May you heal very quickly! :friends:

:heartbeat:My love, Willa
:peace:

Oh my wolfie, I thought about you yesterday morning midst a rather odd (to say the least) situation. I had an appointment at my dentist. We call him the "Beverly Hills Dentist" because he has such a flash office in such a flash building (doesn't match his humble personality at all). It's a bit like going to a spa (or at least what I imagine a spa to be like). One day I nodded off in the waiting room. The tranquil music and water fountain put me to sleep. At my first visit I sat down in the chair and to my wonderful surprise the chair was a massage chair. When my dentist realized how much I liked it he said: "The guy with the ponytail to do my toenails is off today." Ah, he is such an incredibly nice man. He's Jewish so we talk alot about the OT etc. Anyhow, I arrive there in the marble lobby in front of his all glass front office yesterday. It's dark. Oh well I thought I sit down in the buildings lobby and wait. As I approach a sofa a lady asks me: "Are you here to see the dentist too?" "Yes, I am" said Bruny. So the lady told me that she drove 2.5 hours to see him, because he's the only one that could handle her as she is petrified of dentists. She told me that her appointment was 30 minutes ago and she tried to call him on her cell, but the phone's cut off. So Bruny walks over to the Cafe next door for some coffee and muffins and asked the owner: "Anyone seen Dr. B?" No, says the owner, he hasn't been in his office since last Tuesday. He doesn't take any phone calls at home. Noone knows where he is."

So wolfie, spit him out, he's off the map.

It is so bizzare and I am really worried about him.
