I was thinking today, sitting at my desk, listening to my mp3 player while I was writing, about angels. And according to the Bible we hear of angels singing in choirs, and I was sitting here wondering, if they sing in choirs, what kind of music are they singing, accompanied by trumpets and lightning? Kind of a weird thought, I know. Is the music of the ancient Hebrew people, the chosen people of God, or as time went on might they changed to a more a cappella style, or perhaps operatic? Do they change with the ages, or do they sing the same songs again and again in their adulation of God? Or is it a sound all new that we cannot hope to know or recognize, or even understand? Anyone have ideas on this kind of weird subject?

Just came across this thread and was struck with a 40 year-old memory along these lines.
I was a sleepy passenger in a car ride late one night and the sound of the tires must have put me into an alternate state of consciousness. I was singing a song of praise in my head....something from the Psalms or Isaiah....can't remember....when it seemed that a chorus of voices joined mine in perfect and wonderful harmony. At that moment I wondered if I had tuned into a heavenly choir. It was certainly beyond anything I had ever heard or experienced in my life. I remember hoping it would never end!
I only wish it would happen every time I travel at night by car. Well...maybe not when I'm driving. It seems likely that the angels enjoy singing. Wouldn't it be great to one day hear their music?

Rez, that was a beautiful memory you recounted and it has lasted 40 years so it must have been spectacular. I often have wondered what the angel's sounded like to shepherds when Jesus was born.
