You know when you look out on smooth, unspoiled snow? You know that, in a short while, there will be footprints and snowmen and evidence of human activity that obscures that perfect, clean snow, but, for a few minutes, it seems a shame to make that first footprint.....?

Well, someone's got to start making footprints don't they? Evidence of human activity, interesting, funny, messy, mixed up....

Good morning everyone. I hope Wolfie shows up and starts the food. In the meantime, feel free to join me for breakfast, I'll make some of my very best banana loaf for you, and serve it hot with butter, along with traditional English crumpets, tea and coffee and hot chocolate with cream.

Lots of love to everyone on this brand new forum. Soon it'll be filled with those precious, human thoughts and ideas and musings as people seek God's face and will in all things.

Deepest shalom to everyone.Big Grin

wow Malkah--I'll have what you're having--it sounds divine--and I love your example of fresh new footprints. I actually stood for a long time one afternoon and watched where someone had made a lonely journey across a frozen lake. I wondered alot about that lonely traveler--where he had come from and where he had gone. And maybe he wasn't lonely--maybe I was and read that into the trail he left behind.  He had been on skies so all you saw was a long and small trail cutting through fresh snow. I took a picture tho and the whole scene made a memory--like we will do right here--leave a trail and make memories--Welcome everyone to our First Sunday Morning in a brand new place--May no one feel lonely--May our hearts all be full--and may love live here with us always--love you all--Wolfie....banana bread and coffee please Malka--I am ready--lol. Shy
That has special symbolism, sisters - virgin snow - and how we'll soon leave footprints - that's just a beautiful thought... Reminds me of the 'Footprints in the Sand' poem and truthfully how when there's only one set of prints, our Lord is carrying us...
I'm loving this already - loving you and this place!Cool
~Peace~ Willa
ps - pass the butter for my muffin - need more butter here!Tongue
Hey Wolfie - yes, the idea of an untrodden path always excites me, so much to explore, and this morning, looking at this new board, I realised that this is an untrodden path, and its a path we can all tread together, each making our own marks. There is potential in fresh snow, potential in a blank sheet of paper, mistakes and successes ready to be made.

Not that, unfortunately, we get much snow over here ....grumble...... I love running in the snow, especially in the dark because the white of the snow reflects any light and gives the world an eerie, lonely beauty all of its own.

Good morning (well, its afternoon here but never mind) Its blustery and fairly mild outside. We've barely had so much as a frost this year. I left a couple of half-hardy plants out on the patio and they're still growing away merrily. Have a splendid day, one and all........Wink

What can I say? Wonderful to see you.Big GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig GrinBig Grin Now I am a very happy little dancing turtle indeed.
Hello Malkah, Willa and Wolfie.
English breakfasts are delicious. One of the few things the English do well. One of those breakfasts and you could definitely go for miles alone in the snow. Mind if I pull up a chair? I could smell the coffee from here.

GOOOOOOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!!...
on this last day of 2006!

I got up this morning and there was frost on the grass. That's as close as we get to snow here on the coast of Southern California.
But I pretended it was snow, and enjoyed the snow story all the same.
Fact is, I've never seen snow falling from the sky.

I'm going to turn on the flame and start cookin' up some sausage patties. That's all I want with my chai latte this morning. Still kinda full from all the pizza last night at camp...all that cheese you know.
It's going to really start smelling really good with the aromas of banana bread and sausage to all the sheep who continue to make it through the door this morning......

Now where is ISOMAM with our daily text?
Malkah- your ninja turtle cracks me up! Steppin' lively, just like you! Wink I'm so glad to be back in your company. I never did quite understand why you left 'the other place', but someone told me that someone had said something mean/rude to you - I can't stand that thought - the beast! You're one of the sweetest, obliging people - always humble and respectful in all your posts. I'm very sorry for whatever happened - but that's in the past, right? And now we're once again together here and I'm SO happy to 'see' my sister in faith again - and on a regular basis no less - I'm BLESSED by you, sis Malkah! I love you so very much and look forward to many many discussions and your loving and 'bloody brilliant' comments!
RIB - you had frost? Sad This is Indiana, folks, and it should be wearing a blanket of white - but I woke up to rain, 50 degrees - unbelievable for this time of year! They say snow's coming... then I'll probably be whining - lol - but I want some flakes and I want them yesterday! It's the most beautiful sight, Roses - big fluffy flakes- no 2 exactly alike according to God's plan - free-falling from the heavens like sparkling little stars - I LOVE snow! Carol - you said you were sending me some, but that darn USPS is s-l-o-w --- Pony Express would be faster!(but I know you meant well!)
Sandi - LOL - I'd completely forgotten that this is New Year's Eve! Well, I'll blame it on being sick - something 'flu-ish' - and I'm still a bit feverish and achey but it's on it's way out, thankfully. So - 'to-o-o-t! Tongue Whoopty-do! Another day - another year closer!
XOXOXOX - hugs and kisses and love to you all,
WillaCool

Tonight, my mom(who is up and around a lot now-thanks for all the prayers!) made Swedish meatballs. It was so yummy I cleaned my plate and left nothing for the dogs to lick up!!!

Then, she made popcorn-balls for dessert! I'm so full I could burst! Big Grin

Hey Willa.Big Grin He is cute isn't he. My only problem is I wish I could train him to only dance at my more light-hearted posts - when I'm being serious he should stand and look respectful, maybe put a prayer-shawl on, but, oy vay, he's not very obedient....

I've never left anywhere because of people being rude. I don't think anyone's ever been particularly rude to me, not on these sites anyway. The people who are meanest are usually Jewish, trying to get me to come back. (hey, according to my uncle, my becoming a Christian is all part of mental illness, so I'm to be deeply pittied....)

No, I actually left because I couldn't really handle the stuff about the WTBTS being God's people any more, I would've been sent packing last week with everyone else anyway, I often wonder why Robert didn't ask me to leave earlier, he did put up with me for over two years, but there were certain people I still cared for and you know, every one of them has ended up here - baruch HaShem. As for Timothy's board, I'm annoyed to say I lost the address and could never find it when I looked (should've bookmarked it shouldn't iSad)

But its nice to be here. I'm going to burrow right down and make a warm little nest for myself here as long as I don't irritate anyone too much.........Happy new year folks, its gone 4am on Jan 1st 2007 here, I shall run soon.... you know, I actually forgot it was new year until I was going to bed last night, ah well. How apposite that this board was up and running for the new year.

With my love.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind,
Should auld aquaintance be forgot,
For auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll tak' a cup o' kindness yet,
For Auld lang syne.

Quite an appropriate song for a new start on this board, isn't it? To let bygones by bygones, for auld lang syne.

(and if anyone starts singing "for the sake of auld lang syne I shall get all pedantic and tell you offTongue)

Have a wonderful new year my friends. Smile

Ohhh swedish meatballs, my dad makes them only once a year. They used to be really good, but now they just don't taste right. He says it's the same recipe, but it don't taste the same. Would you happen to have a recipe?
