It’s been a long time since I don’t hear anything from Sandra, -Flower Child-. Does anyone know what happened to her?
 Hi TN -
Well, I haven't heard from her myself in ever-so-long. She was on the CARM forum, but they're missing her too - http://www.christiandiscussionforums.org...hp?t=63805

All I know is that she felt pulled to find another place to worship as she loves to have that personal touch and she loves to sing. Last I heard she was researching churches in her area. Maybe she found a place she likes and has no need to rehash the WatchTowers adventures and misadventures? I don't know - but I wish and hope and pray for her the best. She'll find her way, I'm certain - she's a magnificent soldier for Christ. :cheer:

I miss her too! Maybe she'll stop by someday soon and say "Howdy!":hibye: and let us know what she's been up to.:flowerchild::hug:

Willa
:peace:
well :hibye: I heard through the grapevine  that she is on a board with our friend Derek--and somewhere else too but I forget--:thinking:and I also heard that she is doing well  which means so much to all of us :grouphug:
I have been informed by our dear brother Anthony that (Sandi) flowerchild has returned to the meetings and doesn't participate on any discussion boards anymore. She is doing well and is fine.

Thank you very much Seraphim. I’ve been thinking about her for the last few days. I hope she is doing fine, and I’m glad that she went back to the meetings. However, it surprises me to know that she did not get in trouble with the elders of her congregation, since she even showed her picture and said she did not believe in the FDS anymore. I hope everything works out well for her.

I miss her very much.

Makes ya wonder if it really makes any difference doesn't it, TN? I'm not too sure that the Society has the ability or the desire to chase down folks who post online in discussion boards like this one. The only instances I've heard of people "gettin' busted" for dissing the Society online was when they admitted to it. I live in a small town and, when opportunity presents, talk to the friends - elders included - and none of them seems the least bit aware of my online activities over the past 6 years. Maybe we think we're more important to them than we really are. The fact is, I'm not on any kind of crusade against the tower. It is what it is and - if it works for someone - more power to them! Like you, I'm hoping Sandra is happy wherever she happens to be.

"Maybe we think we're more important to them than we really are".

HI Gus: A agree with you; maybe we have the wrong idea and think too much of ourselves. At times I think about the elders who kicked me out of Paradise. I presented my case as clearly as possible to them and it didn’t even move them one tiny little bit. I can’t understand why. I even mentioned to them the Scripture that says that nobody is as blind as Jehovah’s servant, and do you know what they said to me? They said that that Scripture applies to the Jews of ancient times but not to us!! I couldn’t believe what they said.

Maybe those elders think that what Sandra did was just a trivial indiscretion. To some extent that is a good thing since that keeps her from being in trouble right now.

I read that the JW’s in Helena avoid you like the plague. What a shame!!! Even though I disagree with you sometimes, I consider you one of the most mature and fascinating persons that I ever known. So please do not fell unappreciated; we love you very much.

I am sure that having a cup of coffee with you will surely be a life time experience.

I read the elder's manual after getting a hold of a copy and to respond the answer is no, they do not have the desire to follow after every person who leaves.

Even if the person comits a serious wrong, the elders ask the following questions

1. Is this person associating with the cong?
2. Are they still going to meetings?
3. Will it harm the image of the organization?

If the answer is no to the above, the society instructs elders to put the issues into abeyance until the person returns to a hall. So basically unless the person enters into a hall...nothing is usually done.

I suspect most congregations are so desperate for anyone to return that they will overlook just about anything, as long as the congregation or public in general doesn't know about it.

I hope Flowerchild has found some peace.
Flowerchild always tried to say the simple but important things.
she came across to me as a person who looked to Christ as her saviour and could clearly see the love of God in Christ and his sacrifice.

and i for one am also starting to realise that knowledge and understanding is one thing, but to put our trust and hope in Christ as flowerchild did is the most important thing of all.

Sandra, wherever you are, why don't you check in?
saw her another forum awhile back defending the trinity somewhat, saying it could be a possibility

Terra,

You are too kind. Actually, I put usually myself to sleep I'm so boring.
Oh...the friends avoid me alright...but not because I'm here. They avoid anyone who "knows too much" and isn't perpetually depressed and sleeping in the gutter after they leave.

Not sure about Sandra's situation though. Do the elders even know that she spent as much time as she did online discussing JWs and the organization? I mean...there's been talk about Society henchmen infiltrating this site or that site, but I've never seen it. There was one guy who claimed to work for the watchtower's legal department who frequented Robert's site for awhile. "Catz144," or something like that. I was thinking at one time that the Society had some computer geeks tracking people down through their ISPs and reporting malcontents to local congregations; but it just ain't happenin'.

I could follow Knightlock's advice and start attending meetings to see if anyone gets hinky...but that wouldn't be very nice. If they want to see me, they know where to find me.

Coffee's on anytime, Terra!
