I have noted in many recent threads the tendency to be open minded and to follow the course of modern "political correctness" when it comes to the matter of homosexuality, so I think we should review God's thoughts on this matter:

Leviticus 18:22-25 - "You must not go to bed with a man as [you would] with a woman, because that’s disgusting. Nor may you lie down and have sex with any animal, for that would pollute you. Nor should any woman offer herself before any animal to have sex with it, because that would be disgusting.
"Don’t dirty yourselves with any of these things, because these are the things that dirty the nations that I’m driving out before you. It’s what is polluting their land, and it’s the reason why I am paying them back for their sins. Why, the land is offended by the people who live there."

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 - "Don’t you know that those who are unrighteous won’t inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t make any mistakes about this; sexually immoral people, idol worshipers, adulterers, gays (Gr. malakoi - soft men), men who have sex with men (Gr. arseniokoitoi - male bedders), thieves, greedy people, drunkards, insulters, and extortionists won’t inherit God’s Kingdom… and that’s what some of you have been. However, you’ve been washed clean; you’ve been made holy; and you’ve been found righteous through the name of our Lord Jesus the Anointed One and the Breath of our God."

Notice that those mentioned by Paul "won't inherit the Kingdom." This doesn't necessarily mean that they will be destroyed at Armageddon, it's just that they are counted among the "unrighteous," and other immoral people.

Recognize that homosexuality is usually a promiscuous lifestyle, and unless it is practiced with just a single life-long mate, not only is it disgusting in God's eyes, it is simply porneia.

Also recognize that the argument used to defend homosexual activity -- it's the only way they can enjoy sexual pleasure -- is the same argument that could be used to defend child molesters, sadists, necromancers, and a host of other sexual deviations. Forget the fact that what is done is with "consenting adults," the rest of the rationale is still the same.

That Paul wrote "and that’s what some of you have been. However, you’ve been washed clean; you’ve been made holy; and you’ve been found righteous through the name of our Lord Jesus the Anointed One and the Breath of our God," indicates that some early Christians left a homosexual lifestyle and found the need to become righteous and worthy of the inheritance of a Kingdom.
Hi Jim,

I don't want to debate this.. But I do have a question about your concerns?

I am wondering what " type of things you've read that are Politically correct" here that lead you to see homosexuallty as being condoned?

And for that matter not to put you on the spot. But ask yourself this have you taken a pen? or anything? have you insulted someone?

The scripture is lumping all sorts of things into one basket..
So what I see is people erring on the side of loving kindness towards people who may have an "issue"
I have had many issues.. "sins" but I keep pressing forward it is baby steps but it is progress.
Have you ever been around a liar? an adulterer? a prostitue? a drug addict?
Have you ever attempted to help them? If you have you know that the manifested "sin" issue. is not the underling root of the problem.
Hence why Jesus used the term "white washed grave" because some people have learned how to put the deep rooted problems at a sub level that only pops out once and awhile and others are just sinning continually. Drugy's, sexual deviants among others.
Who was right with God? the tax collector or the priest who followed the law?

Just food for thought Jim..

Your bro Frank
I quoted God and Paul. Have you asked what their issues are?
JWHVACR, did you catch my recent thread on this? I am curious to know what you think of the various interpretations of the scriptures.

No reason to have two new threads on the same issue.
Hi Don; sorry that I missed it. Yes, yours is the thread to stick with. Thanks for the info.
