While I wouldn't go so far as to treat it as something sinister, there is a very real explanation for certain behaviors that reflect unreality as reality. The old saying, "perception is reality," rings true here. The question is (and I have to constantly ask it of myself): is my perception real? Needless to say, there are those without the ability to see things from any other viewpoint than their own. Whatever tragic circumstances preceded such a mindset is difficult to attest to. Nevertheless, in that mindset disagreement becomes opposition, skepticism becomes suspicion which becomes paranoia...and there is no reasoning outside that person's "reality."

Hi Gus, Thanks for the reality check!!
Every one craves attention, me included. Little babies soon learn the fastest way to get the attention they want is to cry and make a fuss. Strangely, some adults never grow past that adolescent behavior. The more disruption they cause, the more attention they receive, and thus the justification for their behavior is reinforced, resulting in unreal rationalizations. e-m
I'm not sure what everyone is trying to achieve here but i suspect pretty much everyone in this thread directly speaking out against (judging) joyfull have a problem of their own as well. This doesn't mean i think Joyfull is right and everyone else is wrong, it's the way the argument is being had. Things get easily overcomplicated as we act on our learned behaviours which have no root in light and don't help even a little bit. Judging people or even their actions doesn't serve much of a purpose and only comes back to hit the one judging in his or her own face.
Convincing people of truth doesn't mean telling it to them straight in their faces but having them convince themselves. We can predigest everything for others but this has never realisticly worked for older people as they vomit that stuff straight back out leaving one with an empty stomach a burning throat an awfull smell and a feeling of discomfort. But I say to you, That you do not resist evil: but whoever shall strike you on your right cheek, turn to him the other as well. Be as simple and as humble as children and as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves.
Hitting people back takes their attention away from their actions. If however the person has no place to put their attention they will probably have to think about their own actions. This is basicly non-violent resistance as Jesus tells us to do and as Ghandi has also examplified.
Did anyone understand what i just said?
Joyfull please do not leave the board prematurely :(
hugs,
