This is one of the best songs I have ever listened to,sung,read.....I just need to think 'I will be still and know you are God' to leap with joy ,even amidst a deadline !!!

Still
Hide me now
Under your wings
Cover me
within your mighty hand

When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with you above the storm
Father you are king over the flood
I will be still and know you are god

Find rest my soul
In Christ alone
Know his power
In quietness and trust

Thanks for posting that lovely song, Debbie. I understand that in your industry there are deadlines looming all the time causing much stress and tension. A song such as the one you have posted here can be of great help in such situations.

:D iam glad you liked the song.yeah as you said deadlines are tough...not when we have help from above!!!

this truly is beautiful Deborah. I too crave the silence often and feel it gives me my very best spiritual moments. I think it is because one can feel totally in tune and focused on God while they are so quiet within themselves--beautiful words--:heartbeat::friends:
:heartbeat: Hi Wolfie..:happyheart: Glad this made you happy

Hi Sis D :)

Thankyou for your post.
Those words remind me of one of my favorite scriptures,
during times of distress, found in...
Psalms 91:1-16
1 Anyone dwelling in the secret place of the Most High
Will procure himself lodging under the very shadow of the Almighty One.

2 I will say to Jehovah: “[You are] my refuge and my stronghold,
My God, in whom I will trust.”

3 For he himself will deliver you from the trap of the birdcatcher,
From the pestilence causing adversities.

4 With his pinions he will block approach to you,
And under his wings you will take refuge.
His trueness will be a large shield and bulwark.

5 You will not be afraid of anything dreadful by night,
Nor of the arrow that flies by day,

6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in the gloom,
Nor of the destruction that despoils at midday.

7 A thousand will fall at your very side
And ten thousand at your right hand;
To you it will not come near.

8 Only with your eyes will you look on
And see the retribution itself of the wicked ones.

9 Because you [said]: “Jehovah is my refuge,”
You have made the Most High himself your dwelling;

10 No calamity will befall you,
And not even a plague will draw near to your tent.

11 For he will give his own angels a command concerning you,
To guard you in all your ways.

12 Upon their hands they will carry you,
That you may not strike your foot against any stone.

13 Upon the young lion and the cobra you will tread;
You will trample down the maned young lion and the big snake.

14 Because on me he has set his affection,
I shall also provide him with escape.
I shall protect him because he has come to know my name.

15 He will call upon me, and I shall answer him.
I shall be with him in distress.
I shall rescue him and glorify him.

16 With length of days I shall satisfy him,
And I shall cause him to see salvation by me.

The words to this song conveys a comforting thought too. :)

The wonderful thing is...
these are not just empty words...
the reality is...
Our Loving Father, Jehovah God, and His Son Jesus,
really are there for us, and will never forsake us!! :)

Much Christian Love To All :grouphug: :heartbeat:

Songs in the Night

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10

"THIS command, "Be still," corresponds to the still small voice which Elijah heard--to what we as the antitypical Elijah are now hearing from the Word of God, namely, that not by earthly might nor by earthly power will the Lord establish his rule, but that in the coming time his King shall reign in Zion and execute judgments in the earth, rewarding the righteous and punishing the evildoer, with the result that all shall come to a knowledge of the Lord from the least to the greatest; that the knowledge of the Lord shall fill the whole earth as the waters cover the sea; and with the further result that the Spirit of the Lord shall be poured upon all flesh, as the mouth of the Lord has promised."
