randomly
every once or so many few times per year i wake up and realise that i will be home alone and so decide to give my intestines a little rest. I usually have less appetite while excercising every now and then but often spend most of the day in a sedentary mode anyway despite that i grow more of an appetite that way (regardless of wether i am fasting).
Short 1 day fasts dont seem hard on me.

According to the Bible, when we fast we are not supposed to drink water either. That makes it very hard, don't you think?

Yeah...almost impossible to do for more than a day or two. One can live without food for slightly more than 40 days...though it really has a negative effect on health after 40. You remember that Jesus called it quits at 40 days. I can remember a few IRA hunger strikes in English prisons in Northern Ireland that lasted into the 50-60 day range, but all the fasters died. You can only live without water for 3-4 days.

If my allergies get really weird I will limit food to fruit and water for a few days.
Jesus' fast seems to have been without water, therefore was miraculous. Coming off a fast is even more dangerous, beware!

They were often pawns in the IRA system
