Greetings,
Barbara Anderson, a former long-time Bethelite at Headquarters in New York and contributor to the Society's writing department, was disfellowshipped for blowing the whistle on the Society's infamous child abusers database. (She has written a few very interesting articles about her experiences at Headquarters that can be found on the freeminds website.)
Since then she has been heavily involved in bringing the Society to the mat in the courts over their child abuse policies and has now created a website on this:
http://www.watchtowerdocuments.com/
Reading the statements on the homepage alone is quite disturbing and really drives home how rotten the Society's child abuse policy is.
Regards

Thanks for finding this, SS. Barbara Anderson's mission isn't everyone's, but she's a fighter for justice. I can't find anything wrong with that.
If there is a season for everything under the heavens, then this seems to be the season for revealing...
:peace:
"See secret forms which contained questions elders were to be asked by staff in the Watchtower’s Legal Department. The questions on this form are indicative of the investigative nature of the process elders were to go through when there was an accusation of child molestation. Shockingly, one inappropriate question asked was if any of the elders believed the child victim of molestation was “somewhat at fault†for their own sexual victimization."
This is the corporate mindset. It is not human. How could it be?
The law, which can only offer disincentives to committing wrongdoing but no incentive to "do the right thing," can be played to attempt to shift blame to a child-victim. But what kind of monster would even attempt such a thing? Nothing human...or at least nothing human that I have ever come into contact with. If true, it is the epitome of evil...and 7 million worldwide will rally to its support.

I have to be careful I don't go into a rant..
But this is like some pompous judge questioning whether a woman's actions led to rape.
So when is a victim responsible for a crime???
Simple answer...NEVER.
Thanks and will read. Barbara is a great fighter, for a worthy cause.
"The Watchtower’s Legal Department made the Watchtower’s Service Department its client....(attorney/client privilege) so that plaintiffs and the courts could not easily obtain documents to substantiate the scope and depth of sexual child abuse within the Watchtower organization."
Ahaa....now I know why the Service Dept. had authority over the Writing Dept. If ever there was an evil slave....now you know where to look.
"A secret letter from one long-time United States district representative of the Watchtower can be read where he discusses a little-known rule which allowed molesters to stay in their positions of authority and continue molesting.
This letter, along with other confidential material, was found among public domain records in an Oregon courthouse. The letter writer asked for a change to this little-known policy where it would not extend leniency to sexual child abusers. This was back in 1994 when he was monitoring an especially egregious situation in a congregation where the predator, who sexually abused many children, was not going to be removed from his position as elder, nor was there to be a judicial hearing or any discipline because of this rule. That policy was still in effect in 2000".
Oh my! Oi vey!
