Hello everyone

sorry about this question but I just bought a new comp. that has the new windows vista ... I'm having a very hard time figuring things out and the download from the room is constantly telling me that there was an error in the download and that I have to uninstall it and start all over.

I have done this 4 times already and it's always the same .. does anyone know what is happening or what feature I might have to change to get things going.

Also , my mic. doesn't seem to want to work when I'm on skype ...

I know that some of you are very knowledgable in these things and I'm hoping that someone might lend a helping hand.

Very frustrating indeed ... love to all, LC Heartbeat
Hello, Aurora. Don't know much about Vista....but there ought to be a drop down menu on the microphone image on skype. It has a default...which I found out was different from my microphone or headset. But they should be in there. Mine, for instance, is plantronics...and I had to select that a couple of times before it defaulted to plantronics. Also...upgrade to the latest version of skype. That solved a lot of my problems.

Hope that helps!

HI LC, if you've gotten VISTA,, may God help you! cause no human can yet.. that is one heck of an OS..

IT is not windows friendly... LOL

Most likely since evrything is set to "NO" "off" for more security.
It will take abit of digging to see if an aotumatic prompt or something is being blocked.

Just keep in mind with that os,, most things are at the least accessable level for security purposes. not the way things used to be where evrything was open for user friendlness.

sorry I don't know more..

Hi there Gus .. Hug

Thanks for the info .... I checked the mic. settings and it seems I can't adjust any of it .. everything was in gray , so I think it must be somehow connected to the Vista program .

I did get my voice to work once after changing around several options but it was breaking up allot so maybe I just need to play around some more.

I hope I can figure this stuff out soon or else I'm going to have to hire someone to look at it.

Thanks again , love always, LC Heartbeat

Hi there TD ...Cheekkiss

I know what you mean ... I regret jumping ahead . I thought it was a good move at the time since I didn't want to buy another comp. in a couple of years down the road .... what a headache.

and as you said , everything is set on off .. so I might just have to go back into everything and manually change allot ... only thing is , I don't know much about comps. ... I'm learning as I go and listening to others advice.

Hopefully I can get this worked out soon ... thanks again for the reply.

love always, LC Heartbeat
