What is a stumbling block to you brothers and sisters? Should we dismiss a persons stumbling block as "rampant paranoia" Will your stumbling block be viewed as "engaging in wild speculation" If that were said to you from your brothers how would you feel? Would Jesus say this to one of his sheep?

I think we are being stumbling block to other brothers and sisters when we offer our advice instead of encouraging them to find the answers from the Bible. Usually, when we offer advice we are pushing our own ways instaed of Jesus' ways.

Satan directly or indirectly throws stumbling blocks in our path/journey toward freedom in Jesus Christ. You are very keen and aware of subtleties used, I am sure. Yet once recognized (stumblings and potential stumbling blocks)....it is of spiritual advantage to put them/file them away..only to be recalled if and when necessary....which, gladly, imo, is not often compared to the time available, in comparison, to encourage complete faith in our Master Jesus Christ.

A scripture comes to mind (not really...I found it on the WT CD..under ..Bible...2 Peter 1:5...grin)...

"Yes, for this very reason, by YOUR contributing in response all earnest effort, supply to YOUR faith virtue, to [YOUR] virtue knowledge, to [YOUR] knowledge self-control, to [YOUR] self-control endurance, to [YOUR] endurance godly devotion, to [YOUR] godly devotion brotherly affection, to [YOUR] brotherly affection love. For if these things exist in YOU and overflow, they will prevent YOU from being either inactive or unfruitful regarding the accurate knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Accurate Knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, imo, is first and foremost, praising our Father YHWH, offering Him exclusive devotion in Honouring Jesus Christ , our Fine Shepherd.....and loving our neighbour as ourself....or as we would want to be treated by our neighbour. If my neighbour constantly reminded me of something of a negative aspect of life....it might be a distraction to the joy our Father wishes us to experience in putting complete faith in Jesus Christ.

Please put your mind at rest, Joe - there are no Masons here on this forum. I pretty much know everyone here and have known many of them for a couple of years. My father-in-law(never a JW) used to be one, but hasn't met with them since we discussed some things - things he was already questioning... He wasn't supposed to, but he let me look at the 'secret book'. Secret societies are scarey.

Please have some peace of mind about this brother...

Sorry to hear that you have health problems. I am not sure what herbs help, but I hear that certain herbs are very good for a person's heart and they help to regulate heart beats. May I recommend (If you haven't done so already) doing a Google search to see what herbs are recommended for the heart?

Learning of our God Yahweh (Jehovah) and of His Son Jesus, encourages and promotes FAITH.

Knowing of God and of His Son Jesus, has to do with accurate knowledge. To know about someone (s) a person has to become well acquainted with their attributes (qualities) and personality. When a person sees that God is love, then they have come to know God, because "God is love".

We are to add VIRTUE to our faith, then to increase in more KNOWLEDGE. To knowlege, then LONG SUFFERING. (temperance) To long suffering, PATIENCE; and to patience, GODLINESS. And to Godliness, BROTHERLY KINDNESS, and to brotherly kindness, LOVE (charity).

"For if these things be in you, AND ABOUND, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. "....

Hello my dear Christian friends. I just felt comppelled to share this passage with you. This is one of my favorite passages which I use to do a "check-up" every now and then on how I am doing spiritually.

It is obvious that our "calling" and "election" has to do with our "entrance" into God's kingdom.

If we are not "elected" or "chosen" to enter into God's kingdom, then we will be like the "evil servant" (WTS terminology: Slave) who will find himself *left out* of the kingdom.

Here is something I would like to share from *my perspective*:

The "heavenly calling", does not necessarily mean that a person is called to go up to heaven. It merely means that God is calling. (God resides in heaven.) [reference: "Because when I called, ye did not answer" Isaiah 65:12........ "I called you but you answered not" Jer. 7:13 .... "I have called unto them, but they have not answered" Jer. 35:17]

Why is God calling? What is that call?

"beloved of God, *called* to be saints (holy)"

"called unto the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ" ..

Spiritualy speaking Iv never felt so good

I have had an ectopic heart beat for many years and some times it misses a beat and palpitations kick in. When this happens it can go from 90 to 280 bpm and I have to go into hospital. Very frightening. They gave me amiodarone to control this. For some time this worked but the tablet is full of iodine and this is taken up by the Thyroid. In some people it can make the thyroid produce to much t4. I now have hyperthyroidism through the heart tablets. This has presented another problem with my heart called Atrial fibrillation
. So they said I must take tablets for heart, thyroid and blood. I am now on Warfarin propranolol and propylthiouracill

So sorry to hear about your heart troubles! I also have A-Fib. Ugh! I've been on medication for it for almost 11 years now (Toprol, Cardizem, and a daily aspirin). Been cardioverted twice (double Ugh!) I know what you mean about the scariness -- nothing like feeling your heart dancing around and your head starts to feel funny! I must avoid caffeine like the plague, and I can't use any cold or flu medicines.

There is a procedure called radio ablation that I'm looking into. I don't know if it's right for me yet or not, but I'm investigating it. You might want to look into it as well. The basic procedure is that they thread a catheter into your heart, find the errant cells that are disrupting the heartbeat, and burn them away by radio frequency. Sound horrible, I know, but it also sounds like it might be worthwhile.
