Thank you so much dear brother, as always.
These scriptures come to mind, as our dear brother gogh used to say;
"while evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it...," 2 Timothy 3:13-14
Much brotherly love,

Well, religion has never comported itself well with the God of the Bible....so what's the big deal? Reading any of these critics is like going to a baseball stadium where the players are throwing frisbees while the critics criticize how poorly the game of baseball is being played.
:taphead:
Only an idiot would lend them any credence.
Religion is bad?
Tell me something I don't know.

The Old Testament is easy meat for destructive criticism. It contains the largely invented stories that sustained a primitive, hard-pressed nomadic tribe whose God Dawkins describes as 'a petty, unjust, unforgiving control freak'.
I have never thought that Dawkins was a really bright person to begin with despite his holding a position at Oxford University. What I suppose shocks me so badly is that everyone of the athiests assume that they are myths. Isn't that just as bad as assuming that they arn't?
I spent a good deal of time looking into the so called problems of the Bible and found that many of them are not really problems at all but if looked at closely they can be explained. I also don't agree with Dawkins statements that Jehovah is a petty control freak. All this tells me is that he never really bothered to look at the book in detail and that he is speaking out of his field.
I suppose however I should be glad that they can't see it. Otherwise Jesus' statement "I publicly praise you Father Lord of heaven and earth because you have hidden these things from the wise and intellectual ones" would not be true.
One thing I though I would say to people who hate God... If I were in God's position and you were to call me a control freak, and unjust saying that I was only myth for the delusional to believe, I would not reveal myself to you either.

BAbylon the GRreat- shes definetly got to go
i like this comment:
Evolution is, to put it crudely, the survival of the fittest. Therefore it makes no sense to have a welfare system, old age pension, organ donars (debatable), blood donars (debateable), charitable organisations, and so on. Altruism and evolution do not fit together. If we are nothing more than an intelligent animal then Ghengis Khan is a good example of how we should each live our lives.

typical arguments of confused people who cant see the difference between the bible and religion
