Just ran across this on the Internets. Didn't know exactly what section to put this up in. I figured "Religious Groups" would be as good a place as any to look the ways that conformity to a group can impair our judgment of what is true. Pretty interesting stuff.

The subject goes along with it so he won't have to feel unaccepted by the group.

This is sad and it happens all the time, in religion, with friends, at school, work, forums, with parents....I like it better when people stand up for what they know is right. Even if it's uncomfortable or means that people will treat them badly.

Go, bearers of truth and light!!!

I mean,er, um...I don't like lies. They come from satan.:)
Facinating!

Thanks for posting this study!

It seem that the hardest thing to do is to stand alone in front of peers and state the truth instead of conform.

Jesus was not afraid to do so! And hopefully as christians the last thing we want to do is submit to peer pressure.

I think this shows the wisdom in having the Holy Spirit as our teacher. It takes away the need to obey any religous organization or group.

Jesus can provide personal instruction and attention, and give exactly what each person needs.

How loving and wise our creator is.

love to all

Yes, the Holy Spirit will give us confidence what we have to be doing as His servant. We should not give power and authority to leaders of men to control us.

YHWH is giving all of us unique gifts of servanthood and we ourselves know best and Jesus will help us to do what is right!
