The basics are something like this;
1. There either is a God, a creator, or there is not. I say there is. Ro. 1:20 is perfect.
And let's say ?2 is;
2: The Bible is either from God or it is not. Meaning inspired or assembly managed by God.
Knight Of Faith presents some compelling points.
Firstly the Bible claims to be from the creator. I’m not aware of any other book is mans library that does. That doesn’t make it true but it should get your attention. It mentions people, places, and things that exist today, nothing silly. The tells of prophecy, things that where to happen and did happen. And it has a ring of truth to it. Doesn’t it?. It has enough creditability that warrants some further evaluation of it’s contents and finally acceptance.
Because I recognise the God in the pages of the Bible as the same God who is doing amazing things in my life.
Its like someone showing you a photograph of your dearest, most intimate friend and you recognise him/her instantly.
That's the way round it should be, that you know the bible is the word of God, because the Spirit within you witnesses to it being the word of God, because you already know God. The Bible is a great witness to there being a God to seek in the first place, but it only comes alive when the Spirit quickens it.

Been wondering what was going on with you! Good reply, BTW. I think a lot of us go through our day thinking everything's "on us" - as if YHWH has baited the hook and we need to bite and keep biting. The Bible is a written testimony about the God who has called us to know Him. There are trillions of testimonies out there in the universe - if a person permits Jah to speak with him by means of them. YHWH has gone to great lengths to provide His Son, material witnesses, testimony, a Helper, and a Comforter to allow each of us a personal relationship with Him in terms that we can understand - while answering all challenges. So it's really about what we will allow as proof - not the quantity or quality of testimony that's available - and our breaking down the obstacles inculcated in us from infancy, breaking through the conditioning of the world, and about replacing trust in the things seen with eyes provided by the world with trust in the things seen with new eyes provided by YHWH. Everything changes when seen through new eyes...and once known, there is only one reason to go back and revisit it: to give our own testimony.
3By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. 4By faith Abel offered God a better sacrifice than Cain did. By faith he was commended as a righteous man, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith he still speaks, even though he is dead.
5By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death; he could not be found, because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. 6And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Where is there another book that compares to the HOly Bible in these three areas:
History Past
Principles Present
Prophecy Future
History - how amazing to have a written record of mans existence - the more one looks at archeaology and mans written history the more i am convinced of its accuracy
Principles - as many here have already said - the words of Jesus on how to conduct ourselves as human beings is outstanding
Prophecy - even though we many not fully grasp the interpretion of the prophecies yet - they help us see what is in store for the future of the planet and mankind - what other book reveals our future?:D
